A Sedalia man was injured in one-vehicle accident that occurred in Pettis County early Sunday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a northbound 2009 Lexus driven by 19-year-old Kieon X. Davis of Sedalia was on North 65 at Rose Road at 2:50 a.m., when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. An occupant in the Lexus, 20-year-old Mathevs Guedes, also of Sedalia suffered moderate injuries, and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by PCAD for treatment.

Both of them were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Lexus was totaled.

Pettis County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.

Davis was later arrested by the Patrol at 339 a.m. He was charged with felony DWI, and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash.

He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
