A Sedalia man was injured in an accident that occurred Thursday afternoon in Saline County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound tractor trailer, driven by 61-year-old Ronnie J. Finnell of Fulton, was on I-70 at the 81.6 mile marker (three miles east of Marshall Junction) around 1 p.m., when the trailer struck a bridge. Debris from the bridge then struck an eastbound 2019 Kia Sportage, driven by 69-year-old Michael J. Pyne of Sedalia.

Pyne had minor injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

The Kia had minor damage, while the tractor trailer had moderate damage. Both were driven from the scene.
