A Sedalia man was injured in a wreck that occurred at Route M and McVey Road Friday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 43-year-old Shawn G. Spencer was the driver of a westbound 2006 Ford Ranger stopped at the intersection of McVey and Route M at 3:56 p.m. Oct. 5. A northbound 2000 Ford Taurus driven by 49-year-old Sonya M. Rasa of Columbia was approaching McVey on Route M when a third vehicle southbound on Route M started to make a left turn onto McVey which caused Rasa to steer right, traveling onto McVey and striking the Ranger.

Spencer suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by ambulance for medical treatment. Both drivers were wearing a safety device.

The Taurus and Ranger had extensive damage and were towed from the scene. The third vehicle was not identified in the report.
