Sedalia Man Pleads Guilty to Sodomy and Child Molestation Charges

In Circuit Court this morning (May 15), Ricky R. Baker of Sedalia, age 50, pleaded guilty to statutory sodomy in the second degree, child molestation in the second degree and two counts of child molestation in the first degree.  The offenses spanned several years prior to the defendant’s arrest last August.  

During an investigation by Pettis County Sheriff’s Sgt. Tollie Rowe, the defendant admitted he first molested the victim when the victim was approximately 12 or 13 years old.  The abuse came to light when the victim mentioned it to another family member.

The defendant was sentenced to serve 15 years in prison.
