Sedalia Man Seriously Injured in Rollover Wreck in Cooper County

A Sedalia man suffered serious injuries in a one-car rollover accident that happened in Cooper County Friday morning.

According to the MSHP, 31-year-old Zachary E. Smasal was the driver of a northbound 2003 Ford F-350 on Missouri 5, a quarter mile north of Route PP at 7:36 a.m. Sept. 27 when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a utility pole and overturned, ejecting the driver.

Smasal was transported to University Hospital by MU Air Care.

He was not wearing a safety device, according to the report.

The Ford was totaled.
