Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on September 5 near Broadway and State Fair Blvd. after checking the license plate of a car and finding a MULES/NCIC entry advising that a possible missing person had been in the car. A police report says that a 16-year-old who had been reported as a runaway from Camdenton was located. The teenager is orgiinally from St. Joseph and had been visiting relatives in Camdenton when he left. The runaway was picked up by a parent.


A Sedalia woman was arrested on September 5 after police conducted a warrant check in the 1400 block of S. Kentucky Ave. Police made contact with 29-year-old Chasidy Faith Perez, who had a Saline County warrant for first degree burglary. Perez was arrested on the warrant and was taken to the Pettis County Jail.


The Pettis County Sheriff's Office was called on September 4 to the 3500 block of McVey Rd. to investigate a reported theft. A caller told deputies that sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning, someone stole a Smith and Wesson .40 cal pistol and a small amount of cash from his vehicle while it was parked in the driveway of his residence.


Police were dispatched late Saturday afternoon to Bothwell Regional Health Center where an intoxicated man was reportedly trying to fight with hospital staff. Police say 22-year-old Joshua David McAlister of Sedalia was irate when they made contact with him and was taken into protective custody. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail. 


Two Sedalia residents were issued municipal summonses for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on September 3. Police say a van was pulled over for having a break light out and that the odor of marijuana was detected while an officer was speaking with the driver. A search led to the discovery of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. 26-year-old Cody Dale Neth and 23-year-old Jacob Reno Neth were given a court date of October 4 and were released from the scene.
