23-year-old Sedalia woman arrested for driving while suspended

At 2:13 Saturday afternoon Sedalia police stopped a vehicle
for no front license plate. A check through dispatch revealed the driver,
23-year-old Melissa Keele of Sedalia was suspended. Keele was arrested and
taken to the Pettis County jail pending formal charges.

Sedalia man arrested for peace disturbance Saturday morning

Just after mid-night Saturday morning Sedalia police arrested
36-year-old Timothy Davis of Sedalia on a charge of peace disturbance. He was
arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $281 cash bond.

Kansas City victim reports metal dog cages stolen from her truck

According to a Kansas City Kansas female victim, sometime between 10:30 and 11 o’clock Friday night thieves stole 3-metal dog cages from a Truck, that was parked at the Truman Inn. The woman told officers the cages
were valued at between $80 and $90 each. There were no witnesses, or suspectsin the case at the time of the police report.

Pettis County accident Friday injures a Sedalia man

At 5:20 Friday evening the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2-vehicle accident on US”50” Highway West of Main Street Road, in Pettis County.  The accident happened according to the report when the 1994 Ford driven by 48-year-old Donald Knox of Sedalia struck the rear of the 2002 Ford driven by 28-year-old Tiffany Mullins of Sedalia, causing it to skid. The Knox vehicle then ran off the roadway. Mullins
received moderate injuries, and was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment. The report also states a summons is pending

Vehicle/train accident in Johnson County injures a 54-year-old Centerview man

At 12:36 Saturday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported vehicle accident involving a train on County Road Northeast 115 Road, just South of Highway “50” in Johnson County. The accident occurred as the 2008 Cadillac driven by 54-year-old Timothy Reed of Centerview failed to yield, and
drove into the path of a train. There were no automatic signals at thecrossing. Reed received moderate injuries, and was taken to Centerpoint hospital by EMS for treatment. His vehicle was reportedly totaled in the accident.

Lafayette County accident results in minor injuries for an 11-year-old Independence child

At 7:40 Sunday night The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle injury accident on the South Outer Road just East of Route “H” in Lafayette County.  Thereport states the accident happened when the driver of a 2001 Mitsubishi, 32-year-old Darrell Cox of Independence failed to negotiate a curve, travelled off the roadway, and overturned.  A passenger in the vehicle an 11-year-old male, Delia Cox of Independence received minor injuries, and was transported to Children’s Mercy by EMS for treatment.
