Here are your Sedalia Police crime reports and Missouri State Highway Patrol accident reports for September 4, 2012.

Fatal accident reported in Benton County Saturday night

At 9 o’clock Saturday night, the Missouri state Highway Patrol reported a fatal accident on Route “C” just west of old Highway 65 in Benton County. According to the accident report, the accident occurred as a 2002 Dodge driven by 40-year-old Lance Treece of Lincoln struck a pedestrian, 67-year-old David Hannah of Lincoln, as he attempted to cross the highway. Hannah was transported to Bothwell Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

 

31-year-old Sedalia man arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia

At 6:22 Monday evening, Sedalia police were dispatched to the area of Broadway and Kentucky on the report of a male subject carrying a large knife. Upon contact with the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Roy Sisemore, he told officers he was impaired by methamphetamine that he took earlier. Sisemore was deemed to be a danger to himself and others and was arrested. A search revealed he was also in possession of drug paraphernalia. At the time of the police report, Sisemore was on 24-hour hold at the Pettis County jail pending state charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Woman arrested at Family Dollar for stealing

Just before 3 o’clock last Friday afternoon, Sedalia police responded to the Family Dollar Store at 612 South Hancock for a female who was caught attempting to steal $24 in items.  Upon arrival officers arrested 42-year-old Shelley Garrison of Greenridge and transported her to the Pettis County Jail pending $531.50 bond.

 

19-year-old woman turns herself in on a Cooper County warrant

According to a Sedalia police report, 19-year-old Lauren Cusick of Sedalia turned herself in at the police department on an active Cooper County Warrant. Cusick was in the Pettis County Jail at the time of the police report pending a $250 cash only bond.

 

$2500 worth of items stolen from Southside residence

Early Monday morning, a victim in the 1000 block of South Osage reported a burglary. According to the victim, $2500 worth of items including a 50” TV, two laptops, a computer tablet and jewelry were taken from his home. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.

 

A female victim in the 500 block of East 10th reported the theft of a jewelry box containing some silver  jewelry. The theft reportedly occurred sometime during the day on Saturday. There are no suspects.

Sunday morning Sedalia police took a burglary complaint from a man in the 400 block of East 6th. According to the victim, someone entered his home while he slept and stole a 42” TV from his living room. Entry was reportedly made through an open window with no screen. There are no suspects.

Sunday afternoon, a victim in the 500 block of West 5th reported the theft of $185 from his home by a person known to him.

At noon on Sunday, a female victim reported a yellow LT80 Suzuki ATV was stolen from her back yard in the 400 block of East 14th. There was no information on a possible suspect at newstime.
