Here are your Sedalia Police crime reports for August 17, 2012.

 

Suspect sought on a child endangerment charge

Just after 9 o’clock Wednesday night, Sedalia police were dispatched to 318 West Broadway on two juveniles in the area without a parent. The police report states the children were walking into traffic. Upon contact with the children, officers had difficulty communicating with them due to their ages. The mother was contacted and picked up the children according to the report. The mother told officers another person was supposed to be watching the children. The police report classified the incident as 2nd degree child endangerment, but did not name a suspect.

 

Bike rider is arrested on drug related charges early Thursday morning

At 5:38 Thursday morning, Sedalia police stopped a suspect riding a bike with no lights in the 700 block of South Grand. A subsequent investigation revealed the rider of the bike, 35-year-old  Timothy Lee Davis of Sedalia, was in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Davis was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail, where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

 

Vehicle stop Thursday night results in arrest for a 27-year-old Sedalia man

Around 8:40 Thursday night, Sedalia police stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of East Broadway for no license plate lights. A check on the occupants revealed a passenger, 27-year-old Travis Lawson of Sedalia, was in possession of  methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. At the time of the police report, Lawson was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County jail pending drug related charges.

 

Burglary at a Salvation Army Warehouse reported Thursday morning

At 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning, Sedalia police were dispatched to a Salvation Army Warehouse at 110 North Missouri on a burglary complaint. Upon arrival, officers learned someone had thrown something through the front door of the building. After a walkthrough with the caller, it was determined items had been taken from the building. There were no suspects at news time.
