Sedalia Police reports 12-27-17

On Friday, Sedalia Police took a theft report from Donald Christopher Gibbs, who said several packages were taken from his front porch in the 1200 block of W. 11th. The total amount was valued at $771.98.


 

On Friday morning, Kayla Semler reported that someone entered her locked vehicle in the 900 block of W. 6th and took her wallet conaitning her ID card, Social Security card and bank card. There were no signs of forced entry, according to the report.


 

On Friday afternoon, a teenager reported the theft of her wallet from her shopping cart at Wal-Mart, 3201 W. Broadway. The wallet contained $127. Video of the suspect has been provided to Sedalia Police.


 

On Christmas Eve, Georgia A. Clark reported finding a purple Roadmaster bike on her front porch that didn't belong to her in the 1600 block of W. 5th. The bicycle was taken to the SPD's bike shed.


 

On Christmas Day, a wallet was found near the Sedalia Post Office, 405 E. 5th. The wallet was placed into evidence.


 

On Tuesday, Domino's, 3100 Brianna reported the loss of a driver delivery sign while making a pizza delivery in the Stone Creek Apartment complex. According to the report, the driver did not notice the top of his car when he returned from making the delivery.


 

On Christmas Day, Ana J. Fowler reported the theft of a TV, cell phone and tablet from the living room of her apartment in the 600 block of S. Washington. The theft occurred sometime between 5:45 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Dec. 25. According to the report, the back window of her apartment was open and the chain lock on her front door was unlocked when she returned, even though she locked it when she left.


 

On Tuesday, 19-year-old Kayla E. Fletcher was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and a Pettis County probation violation after a traffic stop at 15th and Washington. Fletcher was taken to the Pettis County Jail with a $200 cash bond for the warrant and released on summons for the marijuana charge. She now has a Jan. 17 court date.


 

On Christmas morning at 12:15 a.m., Sedalia Police arrested 27-year-old Brittany Nicole Swearingin for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after an officer observed her walking eastbound in the middle of East 7th. Drug paraphernalia was located on her person and she was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released with a court date to be announced.


 

On Christmas Eve around 10:30 p.m., 31-year-old Ladisalo Olivos Baltazar was arrested for Driving While Revoked after Sedalia Police made a traffic stop on a silver Toyota car at 15th and Grand. Baltazar was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released, with a court date to be announced.


 

On Tuesday at 3 p.m., Christine E. Grant, 50, Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended after a traffic stop at 2nd and Grand on a white Chevy Impala for expired tags. Grant was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released with a Feb. 14 court date.


 

On Friday evening, Jonathan Edward Campbell, 24, Sedalia, was arrested after Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a white Saturn for no front plate at 7th and Ohio. He was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Campbell was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released, with a court date to be announced.


 

On Saturday, Sedalia Police traveled to the Benton County line (Highway 65 & Route 52) to transfer 18-year-old Kelsie Raylene Brewer to the Pettis County Jail after she was arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on a Municipal warrant.


 

On Friday morning, Sedalia Police took a theft report from Rafael Barragan, who said that he lost his wallet at a school function at 2010 Tiger Pride Blvd. According to the report, Barragan checked his bank account and discovered $203 had been withdrawn. A suspect was identified, but the victim decided he didn't want to pursue charges.


 

On Christmas Day, Sedalia Police arrested 23-year-old Emmanuel R. Reeders of Sedalia in the 600 block of S. Washington. A computer check revealed a warrant for child neglect out of Saline County. Reeders was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $2,500 cash or surety bond.


 

On Christmas Night, Sedalia Police arrested 23-year-old Jason Jonah Harvery of Sedalia at Jiffy Stop, 1722 W. Broadway. According to a report, Harvery was wanted on two active Pettis County warrants. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $1,500 cash or surety bond and a $211.87 cash bond.


 

On Christmas Eve, Sedalia Police arrested 24-year-old Yevgeniy Surguy for Possession of Marijuana after a traffic stop on a silver Mazda Protege at 16th and McDonald's Avenue. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail with a Jan. 17 court date.


 

On Christmas at 12:37 a.m., Sedalia Police arrested 20-year-old William MA Eaton, II, of Sedalia, after officers were called to the area of Broadway and Montgomery on an intoxicated man. According to a report, the suspect was found lying in the roadway. He could barely stand on his own and was almost struck by a semi struck. In addition, he didn't know where he was, the report said. Eaton was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center, where he was cleared for confinement, then transferred to the Pettis County Jail and placed into protective custody until he was sober.
