Three-year-old child found walking on the sidewalk on Broadway

At 10:22 Saturday morning Sedalia police were dispatched to the 200 block of East Broadway, on a child found walking alone. Upon arrival they were told by the caller they had found a 3-year-old child walking on the sidewalk. The child was taken to the police station, and the child abuse hot line was called. There was no other information in the police report.

27-year old Sedalia woman arrested on assault and weapons charges

At 2:36 Saturday morning Sedalia police were dispatched to the 1000 block of East 3rd on a disturbance involving a knife. Upon arrival officers found a 31-year-old male victim with a laceration on his hand. The
suspect identified as 27-year-old Brandy Shull of Sedalia was located and arrested. At the time of the police report Shull was in the Pettis County Jail on 24-hour hold pending charges of 2nd degree domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon, and armed criminal action.

Warrant check Friday afternoon results in arrest for a Sedalia man

At 9:28 Friday night Sedalia police Conducted a warrant check in the 1900 block of West 10th.
Upon contact with the suspect, 23-year-old Leon Hinkley of Sedalia, the warrant for parole violation was
confirmed. The police report states Hinkley was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, and was being held without bond.

Sedalia man arrested for driving while suspended, and two-warrants Friday

Just before 2.o’clock Friday afternoon Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at Main And Metallic Ave. for an expired plate. A subsequent check on the driver, 35-year-old Jeremiah Boatman of Sedalia revealed he was suspended, and had two active warrants. At the time of the police report Boatman was in the Pettis County Jail pending a total bond of $29,031.50, for driving while suspended, and the two warrants.

Police investigate a report of gunshots early Saturday morning

At 2:32 Saturday morning Sedalia Police were dispatched to
the 200 block of South Quincy on a report of
gunshots. The police report states after searching the area and talking to
witnesses they located the suspect, 28-year-old Marsalles Miller at his
residence in  the 1300 block of South Kentucky. A subsequent search of the residence
reportedly produced a 12 gauge shotgun, shotgun shells,a scales
methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. Marcellas was arrested and transported
to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal
charges.

26-year-old Sedalia man arrested at Wal Mart for stealing

Around 9:20 Saturday morning Sedalia police were dispatched to Walmart on
a theft com plaint. Upon contact with asset protection personnel they were told
the suspect had been observed opening electronic merchandise packages, and
taking items from them, then leaving the store without paying for them. The
suspect identified as 26-year old Manuel Waddell, then brought the items back
for refunds. The report states Waddell gave back the gift card he was given, at
the refund desk, and also a 16 GB Thumb Drive he had in his pocket. Waddell was
arrested, and taken to the Pettis County pending a bond of $531.50.

3-Sedalia suspects arrested at the WaL-Mart store for stealing

At 4:47 Friday afternoon Sedalia police responded to the Wal-Mart
store on a report of three suspects who took $68.24 worth of merchandise from
the store without paying for it. The suspects then returned the itedms to the
store for a refund. Arrested at the scene were 40-year-old James Miller,
23-year-old Amber Archambault, and 25-year-old Elizabeth Esqueda, all of Sedalia. The police
report states the suspects were booked and released with court dates.
