Yesterday afternoon, the Sedalia Fire Department and APSI were dispatched to 706 East 4th Street for a possible fall/heart attack. When emergency services arrived, they found 76-year-old Betty Dawson, pinned beneath a 2003 gray Dodge pickup and requested the Police Department's assistance. Dawson was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center, where she was later pronounced dead as a result of the injuries she sustained in the incident. The case is currently under investigation.

There have been  numerous incidents of glass being broken on vehicles in the last two days around Sedalia.  Early this morning, Sedalia Police went to the 2200 Block of West 3rd for a report of property damage.  The victims reported to Sedalia Police that between 6:30 last night and 2:19 this morning that someone broke the side window of their van. The damage was estimated at $200. A man in the 1600 Block of East 14th reported his driver's side window was busted between 10:30pm on May 29 and 6:50 yesterday morning. Otten's Small Engine in the 2600 Block of East Broadway reported to Sedalia Police a driver's side window on a company truck was broken, causing $200 in damages between 6 p.m. on May 29 and 7:45 yesterday morning.  A man in the 1700 Block of East 6th reported the window to his van was broken sometime since May 16.

A woman in the 1100 Block of West 4th reported to Sedalia Police that her and her husband's vehicle were keyed on the driver's side between 8pm on May 29 and 8 AM May 30.

Pettis County Deputies are investigating a case of child abuse that was reported on Little Buffalo Road in Stover.

Yesterday morning, Sedalia Police went to the 600 Block of West 6th to investigate a 3-year old running outside unsupervised.  Sedalia Police knocked on the door of the apartment and go no response.  Sedalia Police kept the child until the mother was found and the child was returned.  A child abuse hotline call was made on the incident.

A woman reported to Sedalia Police that someone forged a check for $118.47 to a local business.

Sedalia Police arrested Paul Smith for failure to appear, bond set at $88.50 cash.

Sedalia Police arrested Anthony Cason for assault in the 2nd and driving while revoked.

A blue and silver Next All-Terrain ProBike was found in the 17000 Block of East Broadway, and the bike was
taken to the bike shed.
