On Saturday afternoon (Feb 23), Sedalia Police were called to the 800 block of E. 6th Street in reference to a disturbance with weapons. Upon arrival, officers' detained three juveniles who were reportedly running from the area. Another person in spoke with police and stated that he had seen one of the juveniles with weapon. A search revealed that one of the male the juvenile's had a 9mm handgun. He was arrested but it was later discovered that the person who had identified the male juvenile, had actually given the weapon to him and told him to run. The person was identified as 35-year old Brandon Lee Koch. Mr. Koch was arrested for 2nd Degree Assault, Unlawful Possession of Concealable Weapon and 1st Degree Child Endangerment. Koch was taken to the Pettis County Jail, pending the filing of formal charges.


On Friday night(Feb 22), Sedalia Police responded to Wal-Mart in reference to a suspect involved in a recent stealing case. According to a police report, officers made contact with 37-year old Darrin A. Pullen, of Marshall, MO. Pullen was arrested for 2 counts of Stealing, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and a FTA warrant from Sedalia. Pullen was taken to the Pettis County Jail, pending the filing of charges.


On Thursday night (Feb 21), Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of E. 19th Street and S. Lafayette Ave. During the traffic, the suspect, 20-year old Marie Heaven McCue, reportedly ran from the vehicle and was located a couple blocks away. McCue allegedly tossed a small black bag onto the ground when officers located her. According to the police report, located inside the bag were a spoon, a digital scale, multiple small plastic baggies and a white crystalline substance that later tested positive as methamphetamine. McCue was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute, Resisting Arrest and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. McCue was also found to have three active Pettis County warrants.


On Thursday night (Feb 21), Sedalia Police responded to the 700 block of E. 4th Street for a warrant check. Contact was made with the suspect, 27-year old Sally Dawn Fields. A Pettis County FTA warrant was confirmed for Fields and she was taken to the Pettis County Jail with a bond of $15,000.00.


Early Friday morning (Feb 22), Sedalia Police and Sedalia Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the 500 block of W. 6th Street for a vehicle fire. Investigation revealed the fire may have started under suspicious circumstances. Further investigation is underway and no other details were available in the report.
