Around 2:45 in the afternoon on April 5th, Sedalia Police officers took a report of a theft. The reporting party stated that a male subject, from Sedalia, had rented property from National TV Sales and Rental, and failed to return the property, after stopping payment. The total value of the items was placed at $1,000.00. There were no further details listed in that police report.

 

Around 9:15 in the morning on April 5th, officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of East Broadway, in regard to report of property damage. The damage had been caused to a vehicle while it was parked in the lot at Roadrunner Auto Sales. The reporting party stated that someone broke the left-rear window on a red, 1997 Dodge pick-up truck. The subject had also taken a stereo and damaged the ignition switch on the vehicle. The value of the damage was placed at about $250.00. It was revealed that the subjects had also taken a gasket kit and an oil pump from another vehicle, a 1991 Chevy Camaro. The total value of the missing items was placed at about $200.00. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.

 

Just before 11:00 in the morning on April 5th, Sedalia Police officers were dispatched to the 800 block of West 7th Street, in regards to a report of property damage. The victim stated that sometime between April 1st and 5th, someone had damaged the air-conditioner to the property, that he owned. The rear door knob and screen window were also damaged. The estimated value of the damage was placed at around $3,040.00. There are no suspects at this time.

 

Just after 10:00 in the morning on April 5th, officers were dispatched to the Pettis County / Cooper County Line, to take custody of a prisoner from Cooper County, who had a failure-to-appear warrant out of Sedalia. 33-year old Donald Eugene Crosley the 2nd, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a bond of $150.00.

 

Around 5:10 in the evening on April 5th, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of East Saline Street in regards to a subject in the residence who had possible warrants. Upon contact with the subject, his information was relayed to dispatch and it was confirmed that he had one warrant out of Benton County for domestic assault and one warrant out of Morgan County for possession of a controlled substance. 54-year old Robert G. Newman was arrested on both warrants and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a total bond of $2,697.00.
