Late Saturday night, a car was stopped for failing to maintain its lane in the area of East 12th Street and South Mildred Avenue. The vehicle also had an obstructed license plate. The license number was covered by dirt and debris. The driver was intoxicated. Tiffany Lynn Woolery, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. Woolery was processed for a DWI and released with a municipal citation.


 

Monday morning, Officers responded to the 200 block of South Lamine Avenue for a reported suicidal subject. While on scene, it was determined the subject was not home and was actually outside of Sedalia. The information gathered was released to the appropriate agency.


 

Saturday morning, a van nearly crashed head on into a patrol vehicle while the patrol car was travelling westbound on Broadway Boulevard from South Limit Avenue. The suspect vehicle was eastbound in the westbound lanes. The Police Officer made evasive maneuvers to avoid the collision. The driver failed to yield eastbound in the westbound lanes, before finally coming to a stop at South Park Avenue on Broadway Boulevard. The driver was impaired by drugs. Donald Leland Kemper, 73, of Iberia, was arrested on a charge of Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle, Improper Lane Usage, and Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs). Kemper was booked in at the Pettis County Jail.

Sedalia Police observed a truck travelling eastbou8nd on Broadway Boulevard that didn’t have any tail lights on. Approaching the S curves near South Marshall Avenue, Officers noticed the vehicle was weaving within the lanes. A traffic stop was initiated just prior to East 12th Street. The driver was intoxicated. Kelly D. Birdsong, 66, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. Birdsong was processed and released to a sober driver.


 

Officers took a report of an order of protection violation was violated in the 1100 of East 10th Street. The respondent of an order of production was seen outside the victim’s house, but left walking on foot once she went outside. Charges are being sought against the suspect.


 

Sunday night, Officers responded to the area of the 1400 block of South Warren Avenue for a report of a suspicious subject. The subject was gone upon arrival, but the caller reported an ongoing issue with the same subject. No charges are being sought, and a report was generated for informational purposes.


 

A physical altercation occurred in the 1200 block of East 3rd Street on the evening of April 14th. Officers arrived and identified a male subject on scene, however, the subject refused medial treatment or Police assistance. A report was generated to document the incident.


 

Sunday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Subway restaurant, 100 West Broadway Boulevard, for a report of an assault that had just occurred. Officers arrived on scene, gathered information, identified suspects, as well as victims and witnesses. One subject was trespassed from the premises at the business’ request. That subject was not named in the report. The other subject, Skyler Ray Martz, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Non-Injury Assault. Both subjects were released on scene with a summons.


 

Sunday afternoon, Officers responded to the 400 block of East Chestnut Street for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers learned there had been a domestic dispute. A primary physical aggressor could not be determined, and a 12-hour log was completed.


 

Sunday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Greenwood Lane. Officers spoke with Dray Perry in reference to property damage on a vehicle.


 

On the night of April 13th, Officers responded to the area of West 18th Street and South Warren Avenue for a report of a suspicious suspect. The subject was contacted and found to have an active warrant through Missouri Probation and Parole*. Leslie A. Crews, 40, of Columbia, was arrested on their warrant with no bond.


 

Saturday evening, Officers took a report in the lobby of the Police Department. Ann Palmer reported a missing adult from the 600 block of East 10th Street.


 

Officers took a report of a hit and run crash that occurred at the intersection of North Engineer Avenue and East Saline Street on Saturday night. Rhonda Peasley Williamson stated she was making a left turn onto East Saline Street from North Engineer Avenue, when the suspect vehicle struck her vehicle. There is no suspect information at the time of the report.


 

Saturday evening, Officers responded to the State Fair Shopping Center for a report of a counterfeit bill. Bazoo Books, 1400 South Limit Avenue, suite 7, reported a customer used a fake $10 bill to purchase items. There is no suspect information at the time of the report.


 

On the morning of April 10th, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle because it was speeding at 60 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. The driver was identified, and their information was checked with Dispatch. The driver had a suspended license from out of state. Zoe E. Etherton, 24, of Independence, was arrested on a charge of Speeding (11-15 MPH Over), and Driving While Suspended. Etherton was booked and released with a citation.


 

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for exceeding the speed limit Saturday morning. After investigation, the driver was placed under arrest. Shannon W. Cramer, 21, of Warsaw, was arrested on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, and Exceeding the Speed Limit. Cramer was taken to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released, pending a future court date.


 

Early Saturday morning, a subject was reported on the ground, bleeding, in the area of East 3rd Street and South Washington Avenue. At the time of the report, the subject, who sustained injury from an unknown source, was not cooperative with the investigation.


 

Sedalia Police stopped an SUV in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Marvin Avenue very early Saturday morning because the it was driving without headlights on. The driver was intoxicated. Christina Marie Langley, 52, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender). Langley was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending release to a sober person.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers responded to the 600 block of East 11th Street to investigate a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers located a female with an active warrant out of Pettis County. The Failure to Appear warrant was issued in February of 2024 on a charge of Failure to Drive on the Right Half of the Roadway when she drove off the lane into a ditch on January 10th of 2024**.


 

On the afternoon of April 10th, Lori Jones came into the lobby of the Police Department to report a theft. Jones stated her money was stolen at the CVS, 100 East Broadway Boulevard.


 

On Friday night, Sedalia Police responded to a report of trespassing and assault. Angel R. Breshears was interviewed by police about the assault.


 

Last Tuesday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Horace Mann School, 1100 West 16th Street, in regards to a hit and run vehicle accident. Eddie Crouch was interviewed by Police in the 1400 block of East 14th Street and gathered information for a report. The suspect has not been identified at this time.
