Tuesday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of East 14th Street in reference to an assault. Officers were unable to gather information at this time, but documented what was said in a report.


 

Sedalia Police were in the 600 block of East 14th Street Tuesday night investigating an incident that had occurred. While conducting the investigation, Officers heard yelling nearby. Officers went to investigate, contacting the suspect, who was intoxicated. The suspect became angry and attempted to get Officers to shoot her. Officers acted quickly using open handed techniques and detained the suspect before the incident escalated any further. Heather Christine Golden, 46, was arrested for Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.


 

Sunday morning, Officers performed a traffic stop on a vehicle with excessive window tinting in the area of East 3rd Street and South Mill Street. During the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Roney Davue Soth, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Soth was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Soth was issued a UTT and released to a sober driver.


 

Officers were dispatched to the area of West 14th Street and South Vermont Avenue Monday evening, near Vermont Park, in reference to a disturbance. Officers spoke with JoMichial Dawn Mugg, who said he had been assaulted. Mugg did not know who had assaulted him, but said there was someone recording the altercation. Officers were not able to locate the person with the recording or the suspect.

Tuesday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at West 9th Street and South Prospect Avenue that was not displaying a registration plate. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver had a Failure to Appear warrant from Benton County on an original charge of Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle. Dakota Dalton White, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested on his warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $200 cash only bond.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Katy Depot, 600 East 3rd Street, Tuesday night in reference to property damage. Officers spoke with a reporting party from the DNR who stated a bathroom stall door was damaged. No suspects have been identified at this time.


 

Officers responded to Hubbard Park, 601 North Missouri Avenue Tuesday night in reference to gunshots. Officers made contact with a couple of subjects inside a vehicle in the parking lot. The subject’s information was checked with Dispatch. The driver had an active warrant out of Caldwell County for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Speeding (11-15 MPH Over). Emma Shukuru, 21, of Kansas City, was arrested for his warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked pending a $300 cash only bond.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 3400 block of West 10th Street last Friday morning. The suspect was arrested for two Failure to Appear warrants. Kirsten M. Campbell, 25, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Pettis County FTA warrant on original charges of Driving While Intoxicated, and her Johnson County FTA warrant on original charges of Shoplifting. Campbell was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a total cash only bond of $800.00.


 

Tuesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the State Fair Shopping Center, 1400 South Limit Avenue, in reference to a subject check. Officers had received reports of an intoxicated subject getting into a vehicle. The subject did appear to be impaired, and provided consent to search the vehicle. Paul A. Davis, 52, Homeless, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Davis was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold.


 

Tuesday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of South Warren Avenue in reference to a disturbance. Investigation revealed a fight had occurred between several people, and one of them had left prior to Officer’s arrival. The suspect had caused minor injury to a party involved. Assault charges are being submitted. There is no further information in the report.


 

Officers were dispatched to investigate a 911 hang up call that ended up as a domestic disturbance in the 900 block of South Sneed Avenue Tuesday afternoon. The two parties involved had minor injuries, and the domestic was documented using a 12-hour log.


 

Tuesday morning, William Cochran came to the lobby of the Police Department to turn in some pills he had found in an alleyway near West 4th Street and South Missouri Avenue. The pills were identified as a non-schedule drug. The pills placed into evidence for destruction.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 500 block of South State Fair Boulevard Tuesday evening in reference to a disturbance. Officers spoke with the reporting party, who stated his wife assaulted him inside his home before fleeing the area. Officers met with Warrine Regina Harris, 29, of Sedalia. Harris was arrested for Burglary in the 1st Degree and felony Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree. Harris was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold.


 

Monday morning, Officers responded to the 300 block of East 2nd Street in reference to a burglary. The burglary occurred sometime between the evening of April 15th and the morning of April 16th. The reporting party spent the night at friend’s house, and when she returned, her apartment had been broken into and vandalized.
