Wednesday night, Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of South Prospect Avenue in reference to a Domestic Assault that occurred earlier in the evening. The victim stated that her child's father hit her in the face, breaking her glasses and causing injury. Porter N. White, 62, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. White was placed on a 24-hour hold pending state charges of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree.


 

Thursday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of South Engineer Avenue in reference to a disturbance. The caller's son kicked in the front door of her residence, causing damage to the door and the frame. The suspect then left the scene prior to Officer's arrival. The caller requested charges be pressed for Property Damage.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of South Lamine Avenue for a disturbance. Officers spoke with one subject in the disturbance. A computer check through Dispatch revealed she had an active warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Failure to Wear a Seat Belt and Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway Without a License. Kiersten Q. Hayworth, 25, of Sedalia, was arrested on the traffic warrant with a $150 cash-only bond. Hayworth was transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash in the area of East 7th Street and South Brown Avenue Thursday afternoon. Officers were notified a female driver of one of the vehicles had left the scene on foot after the crash. The female was later identified by a witness on scene. No vehicles were towed from the scene, and no injuries were reported.
