
Sedalia Police Reports For August 19, 2021

Wednesday morning, Officers responded to the Family Pawn, 2805 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to stolen property. When Officers met with management, they advised that they had taken in a DeWalt drill that had been reported stolen out of Marshall. Officers confirmed that it was stolen by checking the serial number. A hold was placed on the drill, suspect information was gathered, and the Marshall Police Department was contacted.
Sedalia Police took a report in the lobby of the Police Department Wednesday afternoon from Angelica Ubaldo in regard to identity theft. Ubaldo stated that someone had used their identity to seek employment in a business out of state.
On the afternoon of August 13th, Officers responded to the 2400 block of Stacy Lane for a report of a violation of an order of protection. Contact was made with Cheryl Renee Ellison, who reported that her ex-husband had violated the order of protection that is in place between them.
Wednesday afternoon, Rebecca S DePoali came into the Police station to report that her husband had gone to another state and had gotten married to another person. DePoali married the suspect in March of 2013. Though separated, the suspect refused to sign divorce papers. DePoali learned that a marriage application was made in August of 2021, and a marriage was performed two days later in Nevada. Charges were requested. This will be forwarded to the Sweet Springs Police Department and the Saline County Sheriff, as the victim is a resident of their county.
