Thursday evening, Sharon Rose Anderson reported she found a phone in the grass in the area of East 9th Street and South Murray Avenue. The phone had no sim card. The phone was placed into evidence for safekeeping.


 

On the evening of August 17th, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and Thompson Boulevard for a vehicle that was driving on the wrong side of the road. At the culmination of the investigation, one male subject was arrested. Donnie Dean Wiser, 19, of Warsaw, was arrested on charges of Improper Lane Usage, Driving While Revoked, Possession of Marijuana, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Driving While Intoxicated, Illegal Possession of a Firearm, and, Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, Failure to Register with the DOR, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the 2nd Degree.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Thompson Boulevard in reference to damage on gambling machines inside a store.


 

Thursday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of West Broadway Boulevard regard an unresponsive male subject. The male was located and found to be intoxicated. Jared Ward Sanders, 43, Homeless, was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 12-hour safekeeping hold.


 

Officers were dispatched to the area of the 800 block of Crescent Drive in reference to a report of animal abuse. On arrival, it was determined a dog bite had occurred. Officers documented the dog bite and notified animal control.


 

Wednesday night, Officers conducted a warrant check in the 1200 block of North Grand Avenue. Contact was made with two subjects. Both had warrants for their arrest from Pettis County* for two counts of Domestic Assault in the 1st Degree, one count of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree, and three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Crystal L. Hansen, 45, and Gregory S. Hansen, 54, both of Sedalia, were arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Both were taken into custody, booked in, and issued a cash or surety bond of $50,000.


 

Wednesday evening, Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in regards to a theft. On arrival, Officers made contact with asset protection, who had the suspect in their office. Mark Adam Hawkins, 60, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Shoplifting. Hawkins was released on scene with a city summons.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Bomgaar’s store, 2424 South Limit Avenue, in regards to a theft in progress Thursday morning. Over the course of several weeks, approximately $5,000 worth of merchandise had been stolen. A report has been completed.


 

Thursday morning, Officers responded to Windsor to speak with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office. A subject with an active Sedalia Municipal warrant was in their custody. Larry C. Roberts Jr., 46, of Windsor, was taken into custody by SPD and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in on his Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Theft. Bond was set at $100 cash only.
