Last Tuesday night, Officers responded to the 800 block of North New York Avenue for a report of an assault. When Officers arrived, a male involved was questioned. The male subject's information was given to Dispatch. Officers were informed the male had an active Failure to Appear warrant out of Pettis County on original charges of Stealing. Seth E. Hull, 34, of Sedalia, was arrested on the warrant pending a $71.50 cash only bond.


 

Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle in the area of West 9th Street and South Moniteau Avenue early Monday morning for various traffic violations. The driver was found to have a suspended license. Skylar Dawn Blagden, 21, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail for Driving While Suspended. Blagden was booked and released with a summons.


 

In the early morning hours of August 18th, Officers responded to the 2200 block of East 9th Street in reference to an assault that occurred earlier in the night. The victim stated that she was assaulted by someone known to her. The victim did appear to have apparent minor injury to her neck and forehead, but did not want medical treatment. No contact has been made with the suspect at this time.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to a possibly intoxicated driver at the Hardee's restaurant, 715 East Broadway Boulevard, late last Thursday night. When Officers arrived in the area, they observed the suspect's vehicle leaving the parking lot. Officers then conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area of East 10th Street and South Montgomery Avenue. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered the driver had a suspended driving status, and was intoxicated. Bruce Jules Enrietto, 53, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, Enrietto provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Enrietto was booked and released, and charges of Driving While Suspended and Driving While Intoxicated have been submitted to the prosecutor.


 

Saturday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was failing to maintain its lane at West Broadway Boulevard and Ruth Ann Drive. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered the driver had a Failure to Appear warrant from Saline County on original charges of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and misdemeanor Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. A consent search was conducted on the vehicle, and methamphetamine was located. Benjamin Alexander Labus, 53, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Bond on his FTA warrant was set at $10,000 cash or surety, and a request for the charge of Possession of a Dangerous Drug has been submitted to the prosecutor.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of East 9th Street Saturday night for a report of a dog bite. Dispatch informed Officers that the caller was now located at the Bothwell Hospital, in the emergency room. Officers spoke with the individuals involved. It was found the animal in question was owned by the victim's family. A report was done for documentation, and the animal is being quarantined. No charges are being pursued.


 

In the early morning hours of August 27th, Officers responded to the 200 block of Rainbow Drive for a report of indecent exposure. Upon arrival, the suspect had fled. A report was completed.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers responded to the 1800 block of West 3rd Street for a report of an assault. Contact was made with a female subject, who reported that she was assaulted by a male suspect. The male suspect had fled the area after the assault.


 

Sunday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Missouri Avenue. The driver was found to have a Pettis County Probation Violation warrant for Resisting Arrest, a criminal summons from July on charges of Property Damage in the 2nd Degree, and a criminal summons from August on charges of Possession of Marijuana. Samantha L. Kinner, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted, and a controlled substance was found and seized. The contraband was placed in Police Department evidence for destruction. Kinner was booked in, and bond on her Probation Violation warrant was set at $2,000 cash and $2,500 surety.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a violation of a court order Saturday morning. The victim stated that while exchanging their children, his ex-wife harassed him. Charges of Violation of a Court Order are being submitted.


 

Officers were called to the 400 block of South Quincy Sunday morning in reference to a domestic assault. The caller stated that she was trying to get her items to leave, but her ex-boyfriend was beating her up. Upon running the information of the two subjects, Kricket K. Dhority and Gary A. McKinsey Jr., it was found there may be an order of protection against the caller. While the issuing agency was checking for the order of protection, the caller got her items and packed them into her car. The order of protection could not be found. The caller changed her story as to what had happened, and did not want to cooperate with the Officers in making an assault report.


 

Sunday morning, Officers were dispatched to the area of East 12th Street and South Marshall Avenue in reference to two toddlers in the roadway. A Department of Family Services hotline was made by the Officer, and a report was completed.


 

Sedalia Police observed a west bound black Chevrolet Malibu travelling on East 3rd Street Saturday evening with an expired temporary tag. Officers pulled over the vehicle at East 3rd Street and South Washington Avenue. A check of the vehicle and the driver confirmed the tag to be expired, and revealed the driver to have revoked Missouri license. Due to the driver having his family in the car, it was decided to write him a summons for Driving While Revoked and release him at the scene. Jose De Jesus Sotelo, 43, of Sedalia, was issued the citation for Driving While Revoked with a court date in October. A licensed driver was given control of the car and allowed to drive it from the scene.


 

Friday afternoon, Sedalia Police responded to FCS Financial, 2600 South Limit Avenue, in reference to a report of harassment. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with a staff member, Matthew R. Kahrs. Kahrs told them a male customer had called and left voicemails containing threats of violence.


 

Officers responded to the 1300 block of Walker Circle for a report of theft Friday afternoon. Contact was made with Dakotah Renae Martin, who reported that her bicycle was stolen from her front porch by a male subject that morning.


 

Friday afternoon, a female subject came to the Police Department to make a report of identity theft from the 800 block of Brentwood Avenue. The subject reported that an unknown suspect is using her son's identity to try to scam others on Facebook.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers recognized a subject parked at Katy Park as an individual that had a warrant for their arrest. The warrant was confirmed. It was issued after the suspect violated the terms of his probation on original charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Kenton David Johnson, 62, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he is being held without the ability to bond.


 

Sedalia Police met with Jeri A. Fielding in the lobby of the Police Department Saturday morning. She wished to report that on an unspecified date, she was assaulted. There was no suspect information at this time.


 

Friday night, Officers responded to the 300 block of Scott Joplin Court in reference to an intoxicated subject laying on the sidewalk. Officers made contact with the subject, who was highly intoxicated. Angela Gallop, 58, of Sedalia, was arrested for Safekeeping. Gallop was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 12 hour protective custody hold.


 

In the early morning hours of August 24th, Officers observed a vehicle drifting back and forth on East 16th Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at South Ingram Avenue and East 15th Street. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered the driver had a revoked driving status and was intoxicated. In addition, there were two juveniles in the vehicle. Berenise Carlos, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, Carlos provided a breath sample that showed her BAC was above 0.08. Carlos was transported to the Pettis County Jail where she was booked on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Persistent Offender), Driving While Revoked, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the 1st Degree.

On the evening of August 23rd, Officers were dispatched to a warrant check near the intersection of West 4th Street and South Kentucky Avenue. Officers were able to identify the suspect. The suspect had a warrant out of Pettis County for Failure to Appear on original charges of Speeding. Jacoby Marquis Bell, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on his warrant pending a $2500 cash or surety bond.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Dollar General store, 713 East Broadway Boulevard in the early morning hours of August 24th. The commercial burglary alarm was going off. Upon arrival, the front door to the business had been broken. The business was broken into by two male juveniles.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers stopped a vehicle near the intersection of West 32nd Street and Clinton Road after observing it speeding. Officers also noticed it had a defective brake lamp. A passenger in the vehicle had a confirmed Failure to Appear warrant from Cass County on original charges of Neglect of a Child. Meggan Lockington, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending a bond of $5,000 cash or surety. The driver's Missouri driving privileges were found to be revoked. Jeffrey Lockington, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released pending the filing of charges for Driving While Revoked.


 

Last Tuesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of South Moniteau Avenue in reference to a property damage report. Some time in the early morning hours someone damaged the caller's vehicle. The vehicle sustained damage to the rear and front windshields. There was also a dent to the rear lift gate. Nothing was in the vehicle, and the doors were still locked.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Police Station lobby last Tuesday afternoon for a report of theft. Upon arrival, Officers met with Alicia Sims, who stated her storage unit was broken into. The storage unit was located in the 1300 block of West Main Street. Sims stated that she was missing several items: grills, a deep freeze, and a lawn mower.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of East Chestnut Street last Tuesday afternoon in reference to a domestic disturbance. On scene, both parties were spoken to and a primary physical aggressor could not be determined. The incident was documented using a 12 hour log.


 

Officers were dispatched to the Police Department last Tuesday afternoon in reference to a sex crime that occurred in the 1800 block of South Grand Avenue. The victim was treated at a hospital and a child abuse hotline was completed. The investigation is currently ongoing.


 

On the morning of August 26th, Officers met with Stephen Lappat at the Police Department. Lappat wished to report a license plate on a trailer belonging to him had been stolen in the past year from the 400 block of North Park Avenue. There are no suspects at this time.


 

Early Saturday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Brianna Boulevard in reference to a domestic disturbance. A primary physical aggressor could not be determined, so a 12 hour log was put into place and the report was completed.


 

Friday morning, Officers stopped a vehicle near the intersection of East Boonville Street and North Hurley Avenue after observing it was improperly registered. A computer check of one of the occupants found they had a Pettis County Failure to Appear warrant for their arrest on original charges of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Megan Rose Angel Relle, 33, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Relle was held pending a $7,500 cash or surety bond.


 

Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle Friday afternoon near the intersection of North Ohio Avenue and Pettis Street after noticing it did not have any registration and had a defective brake lamp. A computer check of one of the occupants revealed they had a Pettis County Failure to Appear warrant for their arrest on original charges of Failing to Provide Insurance. Erin Audrey Laramee, 22, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be held pending a $147 cash only bond.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers conducted a subject check of wanted person near East 5th Street and South Emmet Avenue. When contact was made, the subject fled on foot. The subject was caught a short distance away and methamphetamine was found on his person. The subject also had two active felony warrants for Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree. Barry C. Rivera, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of felony Resisting Arrest, Possession of a Dangerous Drug, and the two warrants. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety.


 

In the course of a Forensic Interview, Sedalia Police took additional disclosures from a child relating to a sexual abuse incident from several years ago. An investigation was conducted on August 10th, and a referral was sent to the juvenile office.


 

On the morning of August 25th, Officers assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol with an investigation in the 100 block of West 5th Street. A report was completed to document the incident.


 

Last Thursday evening, Officers conducted a traffic stop near the Dollar General store, 4215 East Broadway Boulevard. A passenger in the vehicle was found to have an active warrant for their arrest. Heather Louise Gollaher, 35, of Moberly, was arrested for her Probation Violation warrant on original charges of Stealing and Fraudulent Use of a Credit/Debit Device. Bond was set at $5,000 cash or surety.


 

Saturday evening, Officers responded to the Save a Lot store, 3040 West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft. Joshua E. Riley reported that a white male stole some items from the store. The subject has not been identified at this time.
