Tuesday evening, Officers responded to the 700 block of East 9th Street for a property damage report. Upon arrival, it was determined a potential burglary had occurred. Sara Davis and Terry Teeter reported several items were missing, and a screen was broken on a window. The burglary report was collected by Officers.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the area of West 10th Street and South Stewart Avenue for a report of a hit and run accident late Tuesday night. The suspect vehicle was spotted leaving the area, and led Officers on a vehicle pursuit. The suspect was taken into custody after stopping in the 700 block of West 3rd Street. Shane D. Giacoletto, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested for Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Driving While Suspended, Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs) and felony Resisting Arrest. Giacoletto was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and placed on a 24-hour hold.


 

Last Friday morning, Officers were on Bicycle Patrol in the area of North Washington Avenue and East St Louis Street. Officers encountered two subjects who were encamped underneath the Washington Street Bridge. A computer check revealed one of the subjects had a Parole Violation warrant from Morgan County. Jerry Wayne Mullins, 49, Homeless, was arrested for his PV warrant on original charges of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance*. Mullins was transported to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.

Officers performed a traffic stop on a silver KIA for expired license plates. The stop took place in the area of Industrial Drive and West Main Street Tuesday night. Officers spoke with the driver and a single occupant, and then performed a computer check through Dispatch. Officers learned the occupant had two active Pettis County Failure to Appear warrants on original charges of Owning a Vicious Animal and Animal Cruelty. David Shadale Cason, 32, of Sedalia, was arrested on his two warrants and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Cason was booked in pending a total cash bond of $120.00.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the McDonald’s restaurant, 3101 West Broadway Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon in reference to a suspicious male subject who was urinating in the lobby**. The male was asked to leave, and his information was checked with Dispatch. The subject was then seen stopping traffic, and was asked to stay out of the roadway. Officers then received information from Dispatch that the subject had an active Parole Violation warrant from the State of Illinois***. Anthony Lavel Miller, 51, of Detroit Michigan, was arrested for a charge of Fugitive From Justice. Miller was placed on a 24 hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.


 

On the afternoon of August 18th, Officers performed a traffic stop on a vehicle near the area of East Jefferson Street and South Ohio Avenue because it had failed to signal a turn. A check through Dispatch showed the driver’s license was suspended out of the State of Arkansas. Jimmy Lee Lenley, 41, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended. Lenley was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked. There was no information in the report about a bond.
