The Sedalia Police reports were delayed today by technical issues in the Police Department's Records Office.

In the early morning hours Monday, an Officer responded to the 1500 block of South Missouri Avenue in reference to a theft no longer in progress. Brandon Srader stated that his bike was stolen sometime during the day Sunday. A suspect name was given, but no contact with the suspect has been made.


 

Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of West 2nd Street in reference to a burglary. The residents were on vacation in California for two weeks and when they returned, they noticed that their home had been broken into and property was missing. Property inside the home was also damaged.


 

Officers conducted an investigative vehicle stop near West 10th Street and Normandy Road Sunday night. A consent search located a vape pen containing Sativa (THC). The vape pen was seized and entered into evidence for destruction.


 

Sunday night, Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle for speeding at the intersection of Clarendon Road and Southwest Boulevard. An investigation at the scene revealed that the driver had been driving while intoxicated. The driver also had a child in the backseat of the vehicle. Alfredo Carlos, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Speeding, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Carlos was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released with a court date to be determined.


 

On the morning of August 3rd, Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of South Ohio Avenue in reference to a property damage incident. Officers spoke with Wendy Vest, who reported that two tires on her Mercury Sable were slashed. Vest valued the tires at $125 each. Vest identified a suspect. Officers were not able to speak to the suspect.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the TJ Maxx store, 3105 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a disturbance Saturday night. Several subjects were involved in a verbal argument. The disturbance remained verbal and both parties separated without incident.


 

A van was stopped by Officers in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South State Fair Boulevard early Sunday morning for several moving violations. After an investigation, it was determined that the driver was intoxicated and driving with a revoked license. Meldon Mickey, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Revoked. Mickey was transported to the Sedalia Police headquarters, and then to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 12 hour protective custody hold and booked.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the area of West 16th Street and South State Fair Boulevard for a report of a two vehicle accident. One of the vehicles left the scene. When Officers arrived, they met with the driver of the vehicle that was still on scene, Paul D. Southard Jr. Southard stated that a white Ford extended cab pickup truck struck the driver of the trailer he was pulling and then left the scene without making contact with him. The suspect vehicle had damage on the front driver's side. The estimated amount of the damage was $500. At the time of the report, the suspect driver had not been located.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 400 block of North Grand Avenue for a report of theft Saturday afternoon. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Gary G. Brown, who stated that sometime over the previous day, someone forced their way into his camper that he had been working on and took $280 worth of tools from inside. One suspect has been named. At the time of the report, the suspect had not been located to be brought in for questioning.


 

Sunday morning, Officers responded to the Bandana's restaurant, 2909 West Broadway Boulevard, for a motor vehicle crash. When Officers arrived, a driver of a vehicle involved in the crash appeared to be impaired. Officers conducted an investigation of the accident. Subsequently, after the investigation was concluded, the driver was placed under arrest. Michael L. Sutherland, 54, of Knob Noster, was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24 hour hold for Driving While Intoxicated, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.


 

Sedalia Police initiated a traffic stop on a silver Chevrolet Cruze at the McDonald's restaurant, 1611 South Limit Avenue Sunday. Contact was made with all occupants. The front passenger's information was ran through Dispatch. He showed to have three possible warrants out of Pettis County, which were confirmed later. Kevin A. Clark, 41, of Hughesville, was arrested for his felony Failure to Appear warrants on original charges of Assault in the 3rd Degree, Driving While Revoked, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Stealing. Clark remained at the jail with no bond.


 

On the morning of August 2nd, Sedalia Police responded to the lobby of the Police Department for a theft report. On arrival, Officers met with Jeannie Vogel, who stated they had $200 in unauthorized charges on her bank account from a local ATM. Camera footage from the business was reviewed, and the suspect has been identified. State charges of Fraudulent Use of a Debit Device and Stealing are being requested.


 

Early Saturday morning, Officers conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Carr Avenue for speeding. Nathan J. Elmlinger, 33, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department on charges of Driving While Intoxicated. Elmlinger was booked and released with a court date.


 

Officers responded to the 1000 block of South Marshall Avenue for a possible domestic disturbance Saturday evening. Officers made contact with the suspect who had an active Pettis County warrant. Maria Del Socorro Lowe, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported for her warrant on charges of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond was set at $2,000 cash, $2,500 surety, $10,000 cash or surety.


 

Saturday evening, Officers performed a traffic stop on a white GMC SUV as the vehicle did not have a visible front license plate. The traffic stop took place in the area of West 16th Street and South Vermont Avenue. Officers spoke to the driver and a single occupant. Investigation revealed the driver was in possession of marijuana. Jonathan Dwaine Pruett, 28, of Sedalia, was issued a Sedalia Municipal Citation for Possession of Marijuana with a court date.


 

Sedalia Police initiated a traffic stop on a car with an inoperable tail light near South Ohio Avenue and East 10th Street Saturday night. A check through Dispatch revealed the driver had a Pettis County warrant, and the passenger had a Morgan County warrant. Kiara Breann Irwin, 19, of Sedalia, was arrested on her Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Operating a Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility with a $60 cash only bond. Dreyvin Jaquelynn Marcos, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Speeding with a $150 cash only bond.


 

Officers responded Saturday evening to the 3000 block of Wing Avenue for a report of a stolen vehicle. Sherry M. Abon reported that a red 2020 Honda motorcycle was stolen from her driveway during the previous night. The vehicle was valued at $4,000. Shortly after taking the report, Abon found the vehicle abandoned between neighboring houses. The motorcycle only had minor damage to the ignition.


 

Saturday night, Officers took a theft report in the Police Department lobby. Mary A. Hale reported that between July 29th and August 4th, someone stole the hand held portion of her ignition interlock device from her vehicle in the 4200 block of South Limit Avenue. The item was valued at $1,500.


 

Early Sunday morning, Officers initiated an investigative traffic stop on a car in the area of East Broadway and South Massachusetts. The registered owner's license was suspended. The driver was confirmed as the owner, and a check through Dispatch showed his driver's license was suspended. Officers smelled the odor of marijuana and searched the car. Marijuana was found and seized. Oscar Diaz Padilla Jr., 23, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Police Department where he was issued two city tickets for Driving While Suspended and Possession of Marijuana.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 1800 block of East Broadway Boulevard for a report of a disturbance early Sunday morning. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the involved parties. One subject was found to have an active warrant out of Newton County for Failure to Appear on original charges of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Device. Paul A. Bogle, 46, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where the bond on his warrant was set at $32.97 cash only.


 

Friday evening, Officers responded to the 2900 block of Southwest Boulevard for a report of a theft. Aaron M Himes reported that someone stole his pistol out of his truck sometime in the last two days. The gun was valued at $350.


 

Friday night, Officers were dispatched to a hit and run accident in the area of West Main Street and North Grand Avenue. The accident was reported by a third party, and both vehicles involved left the scene. One of the vehicles left a license plate in the roadway. The plate has been collected and submitted to evidence to be returned to the DOR.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 2900 block of Southwest Boulevard for a report of theft Friday morning. Maria T. Rodriquez stated that two subjects had just stolen two bicycles from the front of their residence.


 

Sedalia Police stopped a truck in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and Thompson Boulevard for several moving violations early Saturday morning. After an investigation, it was determined that the driver was intoxicated. Noah Michael Killion, 35, of Houstonia, was placed under arrest and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. Killion was released to a sober driver with a municipal citation for Driving While Intoxicated with a court date.


 

Saturday morning, Keri R. Talbott reported her vehicle was struck by another vehicle while parked in the 700 block of East Broadway. The striking vehicle left the scene and made no effort to report the collision. At the time of the report, there was no suspect information.


 

On the afternoon of Tuesday August 3rd, Officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Lewis Circle in regard to a report of property damage. Someone had marked a vehicle using permanent marker, resulting in the vehicle needed to be repainted at a cost of $3,000. There is no suspect information available at this time.


 

Officers responded to the Casey's store, 1601 East Broadway Boulevard Saturday morning for a report of a person passed out in their vehicle. When Officers arrived, they located the subject and determined that he was sleeping in his vehicle. After running the subject's information, it showed he had a suspended driving status. While searching the subject's person, a glass pipe with residue was located. Miguel Rubio Marcos, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24 hour hold for Driving While Revoked, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


 

On the afternoon of August 3rd, Officers responded to the area of North Washington Avenue and East Pettis Street for a traffic complaint. When Officers responded to the area, they made contact with Megan Fischer, who stated that someone she knows attempted to run her off the roadway and was following too close. An investigation was completed, and charges are being sought against the suspect.


 

Sedalia Police took a report of a vehicle stolen from the Coyote Auto Sales, 1615 East Broadway on Saturday morning. There was no suspect information. The vehicle was entered as stolen in a statewide database.


 

Saturday morning, Officers performed a traffic stop on a black Subaru SUV, as the vehicle had a defective brake light. The traffic stop took place in the area of East 10th Street and South Massachusetts Avenue. Officers spoke to the driver and three occupants. After a computer check through Dispatch, it was learned the driver had a suspended Missouri driver's license. Additionally, the driver was required to have an ignition interlock device, but had no such device installed. Steven A Henderson, 58, of Warsaw, was arrested for Driving While Suspended and Failure to Comply with An Interlock. Henderson was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

Friday afternoon, Deborah R. Prior reported her daughter as a missing/runaway person from the 400 block of East 13th Street. At the time of the report, the whereabouts of the missing/runaway aren't known. The missing/runaway person was entered into a statewide database as a missing/runaway.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 500 block of North Stewart Avenue in reference to damage to a vehicle Friday morning. Deborah C. Fox reported that sometime overnight someone had damaged the front windshield to her 2001 Ford F150. There are no suspects at this time.


 

Officers were dispatched to the Sylvia Thompson home, 3333 West 10th Street, for a report of property damage Friday morning. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Sherri D. Elledge. Elledge stated that sometime overnight, someone put small scratches along the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle. Officers took photos of the damage and attached them to the report. The estimated cost of the damages was $500. There are no suspects at this time.


 

Friday morning, Mark T. Prall Sr. reported that his push lawn mower was stolen from the 300 block of East Saline Street. The mower was valued at $200. At the time of the report, there is no suspect information.


 

On the afternoon of August 3rd, Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Montgomery Avenue. During the course of the stop, Officers were informed by Dispatch that the driver did not have a valid driver's license. Hector R. Martinez-Diaz, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released. Officers are requesting charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid License and No Proof of Insurance.
