Sedalia Police Reports For December 22, 2021

Tuesday night, Officers responded to the Thompson Country Club Addition to investigate a possible stalking/harassment incident which occurred earlier in the night. A suspect has not been identified.
Sedalia Police responded to the 1300 block of South Marshall Avenue Tuesday night for a report of a nonresponsive person. When Officers arrived, life-saving measures were started and continued by medical and fire staff. After all life-saving measures were exhausted, the male subject was pronounced deceased. There is no foul play suspected.
On the morning of December 21st, an SUV was stopped in the area of North Depp Avenue and East Walnut Street for a moving violation and an investigative stop for a revoked driver. The driver was the suspected person, whose driving privileges were revoked. Angela Ilene Teeter, 42, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest. Teeter and her passenger, Timothy Paul Potter, 54, of Sedalia, were found to be in possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana. Both Teeter and Potter were taken to the Pettis County Jail. Teeter was placed on a 24 hour hold pending charges of Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and Driving While Revoked. Potter was placed on a 24 hour hold for Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana.
Sedalia Police investigated an apparent hit and run report taken from Jordan R. Kays. The accident happened near the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Missouri Avenue Tuesday morning. The suspect left the scene and has not been identified.
Monday night, Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of West Broadway Boulevard in reference to an assault. The victim stated that two subjects came to her home to drop off some property and proceeded to "jump" her. The suspects left the scene before Police arrived, and the victim was checked out and released by PCAD.
Officers were dispatched to the Elite Laundromat, 3232 West 16th Street Monday night in reference to a theft. The victim stated that his clothing was stolen out of the dryer earlier in the day.
Monday evening, an Officer responded to the 2700 block of South Grand Avenue for an informational report. The caller reported concerning behavior from his child. No crime was reported.
Sedalia Police observed a vehicle speeding in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South Ohio Avenue Monday evening (56 mph in a 35 mph zone). A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified. A computer check of the driver showed an active Failure to Appear warrant out of Cooper County on original charges of Receiving Stolen Property. Tyler B. Moehle, 21, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Moehle was booked on his warrant with a cash only bond of $380.
Officers responded to the McDonald's restaurant, 3101 West Broadway Boulevard Tuesday afternoon for a report of a physical disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with the suspect and the victim. Through the course of the investigation, the suspect was placed under arrest. Dayton Wayne Foster, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested for Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Foster was placed on a 24 hour hold, pending state charges.
Tuesday afternoon, Sedalia Police responded to the 400 block of East 20th Street for a civil standby. On arrival, Officers made contact with Levi K. Ross, 23, Homeless. A computer check through Dispatch revealed Ross to have an active City of Sedalia warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Expired Registration. Ross was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Bond was set at $89.00 cash only.
Officers responded to the 1800 block of South Stewart Tuesday afternoon for a report of a physical disturbance. On arrival, contact was made with one of the subjects involved. The other subject later responded to the Police Department to provide further information. A primary physical aggressor in the incident was unable to be determined. A 12-hour log was completed to document the incident.
Tuesday morning, Officers were dispatched to McKinney Auto, 2701 East Broadway Boulevard, for a report of burglary. Jason Elwood stated that sometime overnight, someone entered his business and stole a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500.
Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Winchester Drive Monday afternoon for a report of a suspect back at the reporting party's residence after stealing her vehicle (Reported on Saturday, December 18th). When Officers arrived, they were informed that the suspect left the scene on foot. He was located behind the Holiday Inn Express, 3909 West 9th Street. Officers took Sergey V. Slivinskiy, 33, Homeless, into custody and transported him to the Pettis County Jail. Slivinskiy was placed on a 24 hour hold on charges of Stealing and Stealing a Motor Vehicle. Officers spoke with Inessa Slivinskiy, the reporting party, and she stated that she had possession of the vehicle he took and the keys. A copy of the report was sent to Dispatch to be entered.
