Monday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Econolodge Truman Inn, 3501 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a stolen vehicle report. Christy L. Monteer stated her roommate allowed company into their hotel room while she was sleeping. When she woke, she noticed her vehicle was missing, as was the car key that was with her in the room.


 

Sunday night, Officers performed a traffic stop on a silver Dodge minivan because it was speeding while going westbound on East 3rd Street near South Lafayette Avenue. The Dodge also had expired license plates. The traffic stop took place near West 3rd Street and South Osage Avenue. Officers spoke with the driver, and performed a computer check with Dispatch. Dispatch confirmed the driver had a Failure to Appear warrant from Pettis County on original charges of Animal at Large. Debbie Ann Diaz, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested on her warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a cash only bond of $100.


 

A car was stopped in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South Warren Avenue late Sunday night. After an investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated by drugs. Christopher Howard Walker, 27, of Sedalia, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail. Walker was booked and released on a state charge of Driving While Intoxicated.


 

Sedalia Police stopped a car in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and Prestwick Farms Friday night. The vehicle had committed several moving violations and showed indicators of impaired driving. The driver was found to have a suspended Missouri driving license and was also impaired by drugs and alcohol. Homer Charles Jacob Lucas Jr., 40, of Otterville, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Lucas was booked in on state charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Suspended, and a Randolph County Probation Violation warrant on original charges of Violation Involving Child Support/Public Assistance Information. Lucas was held pending a $1250 cash only bond on the warrant.


 

Early Christmas morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle because it had no front license plate. A computer check of the driver showed he had two active warrants for his arrest out of Pettis County. Joseph Michael Jones, 64, of Sedalia, was arrested for his Failure to Appear warrants on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility, and Speeding (16-19 MPH Over). Jones was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be processed pending a $199 cash only bond.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle early Saturday morning at the McDonald's restaurant, 3101 West Broadway Boulevard, because it had no license plates. While speaking with the driver, Officers believed she might be impaired. After an investigation, the driver was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs). Cathy A. Cawthon, 56, of La Monte, was later released to the BRHC, pending further charges of No Proof of Insurance and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.


 

Late Sunday night, Sedalia Police investigated a house party in the 1200 block of South Lamine Avenue. During the course of the investigation, it was determined several individuals at the house were under the age of 21, except one. All parties were charged with Minor in Possession of Alcohol, except the 21 year old. The 21 year old, who was not named in the report, was charged with Distribution of Alcohol To Minors.


 

Officers responded to the 2300 block of West Main Street Saturday night for reports of a domestic disturbance. When Officers arrived, contact was made with all parties involved. After an investigation, a primary physical aggressor could not be determined. A 12 hour log was started.


 

Friday evening, Sedalia Police responded to the 2400 block of Stacey Lane for a report of a domestic disturbance. After an investigation, it was determined a physical altercation had occurred. The incident happened at the residence and was mutual in nature. The parties were separated and a 12 hour log was completed.


 

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was operating with no lights on Saturday evening. A computer check of the driver's information showed he did not have a license to operate a motor vehicle. Francisco Lopez, 36, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, Lopez was issued a citation for Operator's License Required and released.


 

On the morning of Christmas Eve, Officers took a report of a possible assault. Officers were unable to speak with any of the subjects reported to be involved in the incident. A report was made for the incident until the involved subjects can be contacted.

Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Buckner Court on the evening of December 23rd in reference to a stolen vehicle. Holly Barclay reported her 1979 Chevrolet Bonanza pickup truck was stolen from the front of her residence within the last two hours.


 

On the morning of December 18th, Officers observed a vehicle driving through an alley near South Kentucky Avenue and West 4th Street. The vehicle had expired registration. Officers conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was both intoxicated and had a revoked driving status. Keith E. Cook, 41, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Cook was then transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Aggravated Offender) and Driving While Revoked.


 

Friday night, Officers responded to an address in the 2400 block of West Main Street in reference to a disturbance. Officers met with one of the involved parties, who described a disturbance that had occurred. A report was generated for informational purposes only.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers responded to the 200 block of South Quincy Avenue for a report of a disturbance. Upon arriving, contact was made with the parties involved. The victim reported he was assaulted by the suspect, who admitted to assaulting the victim. Charles Richard Card, 38, of Sedalia, was issued a municipal summons for Assault and given a court date.


 

On the evening of December 20th, Officers responded to Wilken Music, 209 South Ohio Avenue, in reference to an abandoned bicycle. Officers located the bicycle and placed it into evidence as found property. The owner has not been located.


 

Last Tuesday afternoon, Officers took a report at the Police Department from Jordan A. Stokes. Stokes reported that approximately $100 was stolen out of their mailbox in the 600 block of West 6th Street. The suspect has not been located at this time.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at the Shell Station, 1722 West Broadway Boulevard Friday morning. During the investigation, Officers learned the subject had two warrants. Chelsey Zadia Johnson, 29, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrants on original charges of Expired Plates and Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle. Johnson was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a cash only bond of $226.00.


 

Thursday afternoon, Detectives with the Crime Resolution Unit stopped a vehicle at the E Street Bar, 1201 East 3rd Street. The vehicle's registration was expired. The driver got out of the car and tried to quickly walk away, but was detained without incident. A computer check revealed that the driver's Missouri driving privileges had been revoked. A search of his person yielded methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. John David Jones, 61, Homeless, was arrested and placed on a 24 hour hold pending the filing of charges for Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Driving While Revoked, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


 

On the morning of December 20th, Detectives with the Crime Resolution Unit were given drugs that a subject found. They were placed into evidence to be destroyed.


 

Sedalia Police took a report of a vehicle theft last Thursday morning. Jeremy Lee Valentine reported that he started his car to let it warm up, and someone stole it from his driveway. The stolen vehicle is a beige 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. No arrests have been made at this time.


 

Officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint involving road rage on the night of December 17th. Officers located the caller and suspect on South State Fair Boulevard and West Broadway Boulevard. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver of the suspect vehicle was intoxicated. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Police Department. There, he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Michael D. Rohr, 48, of Sedalia, was then arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Persistent Offender). Rohr was booked and released.


 

Last Thursday afternoon, Officers responded to the Menard's store, 4400 Wisconsin Avenue, in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, Officers met with management. Management stated that on the morning of November 17th, a male subject came into the business and concealed security cameras and a knife before leaving the store, without paying for the items. The suspect was identified, and state charges of Stealing are being sought.
