Monday night, Sedalia Police located a stolen vehicle out of Columbia in the 500 block of W. 3rd Street. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and the vehicle was recovered.
The suspect, Crystal G. Thomas, 31, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail on charges of 1st Degree Tampering With Motor Vehicle, Driving While Intoxicated by Drugs, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Introduction of Drug Contraband Into a Jail Facility. Thomas was placed on a 24-hour hold while the charges were being referred to the Pettis County Prosecutor's Office.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of South State Fair Boulevard in reference to a violation of a court order Monday evening. The caller stated that an individual who was the respondent of the protection order was communicating with him via text message.


 

Sedalia Police observed a dark-colored Lancer eastbound on Broadway around Missouri with no tail lights illuminated Monday night. A traffic stop was conducted as it pulled into Phillips 66, 216 W. Broadway. A computer check of the driver revealed he was driving while revoked. He also found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Kaleb Steven Dove, 27, of Green Ridge, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. There, he was booked on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of state charges of felony Driving While Revoked, Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine), Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


 

Monday afternoon, Officers responded to the 1500 block of East 7th Street for a property damage report. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with Betty J. Jones, who is a neighbor of the house. They heard glass breaking late in the night Sunday. A window on the west side of the house was broke out, and a property damage report was taken.


 

Officers responded to the Best Western, 3120 South Limit Avenue, reference to a disturbance Monday afternoon. A married couple got into an altercation in the parking lot of the business. Both subjects were intoxicated and had minor injuries. Both also refused medical treatment. After speaking with the subjects, Officers were unable to determine a primary physical aggressor. Both subjects agreed to separate for the time being. A report was made for documentation for a 12 hour domestic violence log. No charges are being pursued at this time.


 

Monday Morning, Officers responded to the Police Department, 300 West 3rd Street, for a warrant check. On arrival, Officers met with Dennis S. Schirlls, 51, Homeless. A computer check through Dispatch confirmed him to have an active Failure to Appear warrant out of Pettis County on original charges of Peace Disturbance. Schirlls was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be released on an own recognizance bond.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 1500 block of South Ingram Avenue Monday afternoon in reference to a domestic disturbance. Officers spoke with two adult subjects. One stated they slapped each other, and the other stated nothing happened. Officers could not determine a primary aggressor. No injuries were observed on either individual. A report was made about the incident and a 12 hour log was placed on the call.
