Tuesday night, Officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of West 5th Street in reference to a report of domestic assault. Upon arrival, Officers determined that two people had been assaulted, and needed medical assistance. PCAD was contacted, and the subjects were taken to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation. The suspect was still on scene. Officers attempted to speak with him and de-escalate the situation. The suspect was ultimately arrested, and had to be secured in the WRAP Restraint Device due to combative behavior. The suspect assaulted an Officer during this incident. The suspect was taken to the BRHC for a fit for confinement check, due to his obvious drug and alcohol intoxication. The suspect was cleared for confinement. Kevin A. Murray, 41, was arrested for Burglary in the 1st Degree, felony Domestic Assault in the 1st Degree, Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree, Violation of a Full Order of Protection, Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Assault in the 4th Degree. Murray was placed on a 24 hour hold.


 

Early Tuesday morning, Sedalia Police stopped a motor vehicle for a moving traffic violation near West 16th Street and South Osage Avenue. During the stop, the driver's license was found to be suspended. Justin D. Casdorph, 35, was released at the scene with a citation for Driving While Suspended.

A car was stopped in the area of West 16th Street and South Limit Avenue last Friday morning for moving violations. The driver was intoxicated. Isaac Garcia Islas, 26, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. Islas was taken to the Police Department, processed, and released with a municipal citation for DWI as well as a charge of Driving Without A License.


 

Last Thursday night, Officers stopped a white Impala in the 900 block of Westwood Avenue for not having license plate lights, and failing to maintain the right half of the roadway. A DOR check of the driver revealed their license was revoked out of Missouri and Illinois. Shaevon Marquill Collins, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked. Collins was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released.


 

An intoxicated driver was contacted at East Broadway Boulevard and South Harding Avenue last Friday morning, unconscious at the wheel. Howard Phillip Andrus III, 43, of Gallatin, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs), Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Andrus was taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24 hour hold.


 

Tuesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the area of West Main Street and North Missouri Avenue for a report of theft. When Officers arrived, contacted Daryn T. Carver. Carver stated that sometime between Friday the 27th and Tuesday the 31st, someone stole a cable that was holding down concrete blocks. The cable was valued at $225.00. There are no suspects currently.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the area of West 16th Street and South Harrison Avenue for a report of vandalism Tuesday afternoon. Upon arriving, Officers spoke with a witness who stated she witnessed a person spray painting buildings. Contact was made with the suspect, and he was arrested based on witness statements. The vandalism was located, and owners wished to pursue charges for the damage. The suspect was transported to the BRHC for a fit for confinement check. He was then discharged. Sergio Alfonso Marcos Lazaro, 44, Homeless, was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold pending charges of Property Damage in the 1st Degree and Property Damage in the 2nd Degree.
