Sedalia Police Reports For February 13, 2023

Friday night, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Phillips 66 gas station, 216 West Broadway Boulevard, for a report of a hit and run accident. During the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified. Charges of felony Leaving the Scene of an Accident are being requested with the Pettis County Prosecutor's Office.
Sedalia Police observed a vehicle that was not travelling on the right half of the roadway in the area of south Ohio Avenue and East 7th Street Sunday night. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated and had a revoked driving status. Isidro Alejo Ubaldo, 43, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Ubaldo was then transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked on charges of Driving While Suspended and Driving While Intoxicated.
Saturday evening, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the intersection of West 7th Street and South Kentucky Avenue. During the course of the investigation, the driver, who was not named in the report, was found to be in possession of contraband that was seized for destruction.
Sunday night, Officers responded to the 2300 block of South Missouri Avenue for a report of an assault After an on scene investigation, an arrest was made. Chase Sterling Hodge, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested for felony Assault in the 3rd Degree (3rd or Subsequent Offense). Hodge was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24 hour hold.
Sunday night, Officers stopped to check on a vehicle that was parked in the middle of the roadway in the area of South Grand Avenue and West 24th Street. After an investigation was done the driver was arrested. Thomas Gibbs, 55, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Suspended and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle Sunday morning in the area of East 24th Street and South Marvin Avenue because it was driving on the wrong side of the roadway. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated.
Caltozontzin Gonzalez Alonso, 43, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, Alonso provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08. Alonso was issued a UTT for DWI, fingerprinted, and released to a sober driver.
Sunday afternoon, Officers responded to the 300 block of East 7th Street for a welfare check. While on scene, contact was made with a suspect, and dispatch confirmed he had an active warrant for his arrest. Shae Marcus Buckner, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested for his warrant on felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Buckner was transported to the Pettis County Jail and given a bond of $7500 cash or surety.
Sunday afternoon, Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West 7th Street and South Moniteau Avenue. A computer check through Dispatch showed the driver to have an extraditable warrant out of the city of Muldrow in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma. Jeremiah N. Reding, 29, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Reding was held on a 24 hour hold pending the application of a Fugitive from Justice warrant.
Sedalia Police attempted to execute an arrest warrant in the 500 block of West 7th Street Saturday afternoon. The subject fled into a home and hid himself in the attic. Officers were given consent to search the home, and after several minutes of negotiations, Officers were convince the subject to comply. Joshua J. Miley, 36, Homeless, was arrested for his active warrant out of Livingston County on charges of felony Forgery, felony Burglary in the 2nd Degree, and felony Tampering With a Motor Vehicle in the 1st Degree. Miley also had a probation and parole office warrant. Miley was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a bond of $15,000 cash only.
Friday afternoon, Officers responded to the Discount Smokes and Liquor, 2610 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a report of harassment. Officers made contact with the victim, who stated a male subject was making threats against her. The male subject has been identified, and state charges of harassment are being requested.
Officers were in the area of Broadway and Ohio Saturday afternoon when they observed a temporary tag on a vehicle that had expired in November of 2022. A check of the driver's license found it to be revoked. Sileper Raed 26, of Sedalia, was arrested for Failing to Register a Motor Vehicle and Driving While Suspended.
Friday evening, an Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of West 5th Street in reference to a property damage no longer in progress. Officers made contact with the caller, who stated that when he came home, he saw his security cameras were knocked down. A suspect was later identified. Bryan L. Evans, 59, Homeless, was issued a summons for Destruction of Non City Property with a court date.
Sedalia Police responded to the 2100 block of West 3rd Street in reference to a property damage call. The caller stated a male known to them destroyed some household property and then left the scene. The suspect has been identified, but no contact has been made with them at this time. Charges of Property Damage in the 1st Degree and Property Damage in the 2nd Degree are being sent to the prosecutor for review.
Friday evening, Alicia Wehmeyer came to the Police Station to report a forgery. Wehmeyer reported someone had changed routing information on her child support account, and has been receiving her children's money. A report was been completed.
Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near West 7th Street and South Vermont Avenue Friday morning on a vehicle that did not have any license plates displayed. While on the stop, Officers were notified by Dispatch that the driver had two active warrants out of Pettis County. Antonio Murphy, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested for his felony Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and a criminal summons on charges of Sexual Misconduct in the 1st Degree. Murphy was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail without incident. The misdemeanor warrant held a bond of $1500 cash or surety, while the felony warrant carried no bond.
Friday morning, Officers responded to the Menard's store, 4400 Wisconsin Avenue in reference to male subject urinating in the parking lot. Kevin Wesley Campbell, 47, of Sedalia, was issued a municipal citation for Urination in Public with a court date.
Friday evening, Officers responded to the 400 block of North Hurley Avenue in reference to a medical call. Information was later obtained that the victim had been assaulted. Officers arrived and spoke to the victim, who was highly intoxicated. He reported he had been in hit in the throat by a male knot known to him. The victim was transported to the BRHC by PCAD. The victim was later transferred to the University of Missouri Columbia for further treatment.
