Sedalia Police Reports for February 2, 2022

Tuesday night, Officers responded to the 1600 block of South Engineer Avenue for a report of a disturbance. When Officers arrived, the male suspect had fled the scene. A report was completed. The male suspect was later located at the Break Time store, 101 Rebar Road. Joseph W. Weller, 21, of Sedalia, was arrested and placed on a 24 hour hold pending charges of felony Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree.
Officers were dispatched to the State Fair Eagle Stop, 1515 Thompson Boulevard Tuesday evening in reference to a theft. A male subject attempted to use a fake 20 dollar bill in order to pay for cigarettes. The clerk recognized the bill to be fake and refused the payment. The male left the scene with the bill.
Tuesday night, Sedalia Police were dispatched to Ag Co-Op Services, 2420 Clinton Road, for a report of a stolen license plate. A report was completed and the license plate was recovered in Warrensburg.
Sedalia Police responded to the 800 block of East 5th Street for a report of property damage Tuesday afternoon. On arrival, Officers spoke with Jeremy L. Bogart. Bogart stated that on the night of January 30th, someone attempted to break into his shed. The attempt caused damage to the door of the shed. The suspect also attempted to steal a generator off Bogart's front porch by cutting a lock. The total damage was valued at $145.00. At the time of the report, the suspect has not been identified.
On the morning of January 31st, Officers responded to the 700 block of West 2nd Street in reference to a sexual assault report. On arrival, Officers made contact with the victim. The incident reported had occurred in September 2021. The suspect is a person known to them. At the request of the victim, the report was completed for documentation purposes. No formal charges are being requested.
Officers spoke with Adam Hodsdon at the Police Headquarters Tuesday afternoon in reference to a theft from the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard. Hodsdon stated that a subject left without paying for two items, valued at a total of $449. Charges were submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor's Office.
Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Econo Lodge, 3501 West Broadway Boulevard Tuesday afternoon in reference to a subject who had fallen. The suspect was determined to be too intoxicated to care for himself. Larry D. Limback, 59, Homeless, was taken to the BRHC by PCAD. Bothwell completed a fit for confinement check, and Officers took Limback to the Pettis County Jail for a Protective Custody hold. The Pettis County Jail refused to take Limback into custody due to his level of intoxication. Limback was transported back to Bothwell, where he was later admitted.
Officers were sent to the 400 block of Welch Court in reference to a disturbance. It was later determined that a male and a female had been involved in an altercation that was physical. The female left with family. A member of the female's family came to the scene and assaulted the male after the initial incident. The female was later contacted at another address. After speaking to both parties, the primary physical aggressor could not be determined. A 12 hour report was completed for documentation.
On the afternoon of January 31st, Officers met with a subject at the Police Station in regards to a burglary. Stolen property had also been taken from the burglary. Jeremiah N. Jones, 42, of Sedalia, was interviewed and arrested for Receiving Stolen Property. Jones was taken to the Pettis County Jail to be held for a 24 hour hold. Bond and court date are to be determined.
Tuesday morning, Officers responded to the 2300 block of West 5th Street in reference to an abandoned bicycle. The bicycle was transported to the Police Department and entered in as found property.
Sedalia Police were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Station Tuesday morning to meet with a subject who wanted to report his cell phone was missing. When Officers arrived, they made contact with Gregory E. Tullis. Tullis stated that on the evening of Wednesday January 26, he lost his $300 Android cell phone. Tullis further stated that he and his family checked around the area for three days and couldn't find it. There are no suspects at this time.
Tuesday morning, Officers made contact with a suspect in the area of West 3rd Street and South Moniteau Avenue. Officers ran the suspect's information through Dispatch. Dispatch advised the suspect had a possible warrant out of Pettis County. The warrant was confirmed a short time later. Sergio A.L. Marcos, 43, Homeless, was arrested for his Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Trespassing in the 1st Degree. Marcos was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be held pending a $250 cash only bond.
