Tuesday morning, Sedalia Police performed a traffic stop on a black GMC SUV, as the vehicle performed improper lane use and had expired license plates. The traffic stop took place in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Montgomery Avenue. Officers spoke to the driver, and then performed a computer check through Dispatch. It was learned she had three active confirmed warrants from Pettis County. Two were felony Failure to Appear warrants for Burglary, with a combined bond of $10,000 cash or surety, and one was a misdemeanor warrant for Fraud, with a $100 cash only bond. Amy L. Radford, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where her court date is to be determined.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 600 block of West 16th Street by Sylijah Cantu in regards to a report of property damage Tuesday afternoon. At this time, there is no indication that a crime occurred, and the damages are simply a result of normal wear and tear to the residence.


 

Officers took a report via the phone at the Police Department Tuesday morning in regards to a violation of a court order and property damage that occurred in the 3100 block of Clinton Road. A report was completed over the incident.


 

Tuesday afternoon, Sedalia Police responded to the Advantage Metals, 300 North Iron Avenue, in reference to a stolen vehicle that someone was attempting to scrap. Upon arrival, Officers verified the vehicle had been stolen out of Morgan County in 2018. Contact was made with all subjects involved and the vehicle was towed from the scene. An assist agency report has been generated for the Morgan County Sheriff's Department.


 

On the morning of February 23rd, a subject called to report a runaway juvenile from the 600 block of East 17th Street. In the process of taking the report, the juvenile returned home unharmed. A referral was completed to the Juvenile Office and a report was completed.


 

Tuesday afternoon, Officers responded to the 1200 block of East 24th Street in reference to a theft. Patricia J. Martin reported that a female subject forged a check in her name in the amount of $800 and tried to cash it. A female suspect has not been identified at this time.
