Monday afternoon, Officers met with Gloria Gee in the 400 block of North Grand Avenue. Gee wished to report they had been scammed out of money. Payments to scammers were determined to have happened in a different agency. The suspect's identities are currently unknown.


 

Sedalia Police contacted an individual in the 1500 block of South Kentucky Avenue who was suspected of having a warrant Monday night. Officers gathered information about the warrant, which was issued by Pettis County in August of 2023. The warrant was served to the suspect in January of 2024. However, the suspect failed to appear in court again in February of 2024. Another FTA warrant was issued, with a stronger bond amount. Luis Daniel Santiago-Garcia, 50, of Sedalia, was arrested again for his Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Driving While Revoked. Bond was set at $2500 cash or surety.


 

On the evening of February 22nd, Officers received information about a wanted individual near the intersection of West Main Street and South Missouri Avenue. The individual had a warrant for their arrest from Pettis County on a charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The original incident occurred in August of 2023, and the warrant was issued in February 2024. A search of the individual incident to arrest yielded syringes that were loaded with methamphetamine. Calvin Wade Comfort, 33, Homeless, was arrested on his warrant, a new charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Comfort was transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending the filing of formal charges.

Monday morning, Officers stopped a vehicle because it was failing to stay on the right half of the road, and it had a defective brake light. The stop was conducted in the area of West 14th Street and South Harrison Avenue. Methamphetamine residue was found in a pill bottle. No charges are being requested.
