Monday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of West Cooper Street for a domestic disturbance. An investigation revealed that a male subject assaulted a female subject, causing injuries. Jose Manuel Gutierrez, 42, of Sedalia, was arrested for felony Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree.


 

On the night of November 16 of 2020, Officers responded to the Menards store, 4400 Wisconsin Avenue for a report of a theft in progress. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with employees who said there were two suspects inside the store who had stolen from the business on multiple occasions. Contact was made with the suspects and they were placed under arrest. Paul Anthony Mundy, 35, of Windsor, was booked for five counts of Stealing and released. The total value of the combined thefts was over $8,000. Charges for five counts of felony theft were sent to the prosecutor's office.


 

Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of West Main Street in regards to a traffic complaint. A vehicle was reportedly passing cars and travelling at a high rate of speed. Upon arriving in the area, Officers made contact with the driver of the vehicle, who was no longer driving. They were found to have an active Failure to Appear warrant from Pettis County on original charges of Failing To Yield To Approaching Vehicle When Turning Left and were arrested. Deyette Maria Bragaw, 51, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked. The bond on the warrant is $1500 cash or surety.


 

Monday morning, an Officer and the Pettis County Ambulance District were dispatched to the 800 block of West 4th Street in reference to a medical call. The caller said that her mother passed away. The coroner and the prearranged funeral home were contacted. There is no foul play suspected.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a vehicle check in the 1200 block of South Limit Avenue Monday morning for displaying a license plate that showed to be stolen out of Missouri. Dispatch confirmed the license plate was stolen, and it was seized.


 

Officers responded to the 400 block of Industrial Road in regards to a found bicycle Monday morning. The bicycle wasn't listed as stolen and it was taken to the Police Department to be stored.


 

Monday morning, Officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in a school zone in the area of West 16th Street and South Grand. Officers ran the driver and passenger information through Dispatch. Dispatch confirmed the passenger had a Failure to Appear warrant out of Carroll County on original charges of Speeding with a $1000 cash only bond. Tiffany L. Kizzire, 32, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail.
