Sedalia Police Reports For January 31, 2023

Tuesday morning, a wanted subject was contacted at the Stone Creek Plaza, 3232 West 16th Street. The subject was identified, and his Pettis County Failure to Appear warrant was confirmed. Lamberto Alejo-Diaz, 42, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Alejo-Diaz was booked on his FTA warrant on original charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender), Failure to Maintain the Right Half of the Roadway, and Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway Without a Valid License. Bond was set at $350 cash only.

Sedalia Police responded to the Sedalia Public Library, 311 West 3rd Street, in reference to a theft Monday morning. An item was stolen from the Library on Friday, valued at approximately $20. The suspect had also obtained a library card that same day. Officers were able to quickly identify and locate the suspect. Sara Ann Kaufman, 46, of Sedalia, was arrested for Stealing. Kaufman was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.

Detectives with the Crime Resolution Unit performed a warrant check in the 2000 block of East 15th Street last Thursday morning. Detectives made contact with the subject inside the residence, and confirmed he had multiple warrants for his arrest. Timothy James Coterel, 41, of Sedalia, was arrested for four misdemeanor Failure to Appear warrants on charges of Attempting to Take a Deer Before or After Shooting Hours, Attempting to Take or Pursue Wildlife from a Motor Driven Air, Land or Water Conveyance, Taking a Deer Using Night Vision or Artificial Light, Illegal Possession or Transport of a Deer or Deer Parts, each with a $250 cash only bond (totaling $1000). Coterel also had two felony Failure to Appear warrants on charges of Stealing Leased or Rented Property and Receiving Stolen Property, both of which carried no bond. Coterel was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked pending charges.

In the course of a search warrant carried out on December 21st of 2022 in the 1000 block of South Harrison Avenue, three debit cards were found. The cards were later determined to be stolen. Charges of Stealing are being requested.

Monday morning, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of West Main Street and West Avenue on a vehicle that had improper registration. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Jenny Rebecca Nandho, 49, of Sedalia. A computer query of her information revealed she had two Failure to Appear warrants out of Saline County from 2017. The Failure to Appear warrants were on original charges of Expired Plates and Speeding. Upon confirmation of the warrants, Nandho was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Bond was set at $200 cash only.
