Sedalia Police reports 1-6-20

On Saturday around 3 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to the 1300 block of South Osage on a disturbance. Investigation revealed there were injuries to both parties, but both refused medical attention. 12-hour log was created of the incident.


 

On Saturday, Sedalia Police responded to a report of a male behaving strangely and wandering through yards in the 2100 block of E. 16th. Officers made contact with the male, identified as 29-year-old Zachary D. Palmer of Sedalia. A computer check revealed he was wanted on a FTA Boone County warrant. Palmer was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $4,500 cash or surety bond. He now has a Jan. 6 court date.


 

On Saturday, Performance Auto, Saline and Albright Court, reported property damage, estimated at $350, to police. The damage occurred at 11:25 a.m. on Albright Court.


 

On Friday night, a woman in the 1500 block of South Kentucky reported that she sent $250 to someone for a washer and dryer. The victim said the suspect is now refusing to give her the washer and dryer.


 

On Friday at 8:25 a.m., a woman reported that two storage units in the 2300 block of W. Main were broken into, and items stolen.


 

On Friday afternoon, Sedalia Police were called to Bothwell Regional Health Center ER to take an assault report. Police then went to the address of the suspect and arrested 19-year-old Monique Keayla Grant of Sedalia. She was charged with 1st degree assault and taken to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.


 

On Friday at 5:20 p.m., Sedalia Police were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident at Broadway and Winchester. While en route, SPD received calls about a man who was standing the highway, apparently trying to be hit by a car. Officers took 21-year-old Dylan B. Clark of Sedalia into protective custody. He was transported by PCAD to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment and released.


 

On Friday afternoon, Sedalia Police were dispatched to storage units at 2305 West Main for a theft report. According to the report, the unit owner said a renter ran extension cords from the owner's outlet to his unit. The renter, 33-year-old Joshua J. Miley of Sedalia, was issued a Municipal summons for theft of utilities and released.
