Wednesday night, Officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of West 1st Street for a disturbance between a husband and wife. Officers spoke to the two parties involved, each of whom alleged a minor physical altercation against the other. Neither had injuries and a primary physical aggressor could not be determined. A 12 hour log was completed to document the incident.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the area of McAnally Court and West Saline Street Wednesday night for a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and located the victim and the suspect. The suspect had choked and further assaulted the victim while the victim had their one year old child in her hands. The suspect became erratic and aggressive toward Officers and refused several commands by Officers. Willie Ray Waddell, 53, of Otterville, was arrested for Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree, Child Endangerment, felony Resisting Arrest, and a felony Pettis County warrant on charges of Driving While Revoked, which carried a $10,000 cash or surety bond.


 

On the morning of June 20th, Sedalia Police performed a traffic stop on a green Pontiac, as the vehicle did not have a readable front license plate. The traffic stop took place in the area of West 16th Street and South Missouri Avenue. Officers spoke to the driver and a single occupant, and then performed a computer check through Dispatch. Then it was discovered the driver had a revoked Missouri driver's license. Sarah Darleen Mcateer, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released with a court date to be determined.


 

Officers performed a traffic stop Wednesday night on a white Impala, as the vehicle did not have any license plates. The traffic stop took place in the area of West 1st Street Terrace and South State Fair Boulevard. Officers spoke to the driver and a single occupant, and performed a computer check through Dispatch. The driver had a suspended license through the state of Arizona. Bruce Daniel Kitchell, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was fingerprinted, cited and released with a court date.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers responded to the 1400 block of East 16th Street for a subject check. Upon arrival, subjects located a male, the suspect. The suspect's information was given to Dispatch, who advised the suspect had active warrants. After arresting the suspect, a large number of tools with identifying marks were located in the suspect's property. Contact was made with the owner of the tools, the victim. The victim stated that the tools were stored in his house, and the suspect had to have broken in to get them. Gregory P. Watson II, 32, of Independence, was arrested for Burglary in the 1st Degree and Stealing.
