Early Thursday morning, Officers observed a vehicle travelling eastbound on East Broadway Boulevard from South Limit Avenue. The vehicle was weaving and crossed over the solid white line, as well as outside of its lane several times. The driver was intoxicated by drugs and in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Deana Juanita Niko Copas, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. The car was towed, and Copas transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in and placed on a 24-hour hold.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Break Time store, 318 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a subject trespassing Wednesday night. The report notes the subject was in poor physical condition. Dwight Albert Trester II, 62, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Trespassing. Trester was booked and released at the Pettis County Jail.


 

Wednesday night, Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Scott Joplin Court. Janice Jones reported a theft. There was no further information in the report.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Officers responded to the 1200 block of South Massachusetts Avenue to investigate a theft. Officers spoke with Juan Melendez Ayalo, who stated they had found an opened package on a front porch.
