This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department crime reports.

Early Tuesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of North Quincy Avenue to investigate a burglary no longer in progress. Jose R. Apolina and Braulio J. Apolina reported several items had been taken from the residence with an approximate value of $3,050.00.


 

Monday night, Officers responded to the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, 319 South Lamine Avenue to investigate a report of suspicious activity. After a computer check with Dispatch, it was discovered the subject had an active Failure to Appear warrant for a what is labeled as a Miscellaneous Alcohol* charge. Dwight Albert Trester II, 62, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be held pending a $200 cash only bond.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department, 300 West 3rd Street on Monday evening. Kyndall Welch wished to report a harassment complaint. Welch stated an unknown male approached her and made threatening comments to her at The South 65 Car Wash, 3100 Clinton Road.

Monday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of East 11th Street in reference to a theft. Officers spoke with Beth and Craig Allen. A bicycle had been stolen from the residence while Allen was standing outside.


 

Officers were dispatched to take a report of fraud over the phone Monday morning from Jeff and Paula Withers. Withers stated someone had used his debit card without his permission in the 3000 block of South Limit Avenue on the morning of July 10th.


 

On the evening of July 11th, Officers responded to the 3400 block of South Grand Avenue in reference to a theft. Ashley Nicole Arnold stated items had been stolen that belonged to the Rent a Center, 3040 West Broadway Boulevard. Arnold stated the items had been stolen on the afternoon of July 10th.


 

*230514280 in Casenet shows a citation was filed in December of 2023. In the ticket, it states that Trester was cited for bringing alcohol to a city park. The park was Liberty Park, 1500 West 3rd Street.
