Friday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West 10th Street for a report of property damage. When Officers arrived, a suspect was located. Patrick S. Powers, 33, of Marshall, was issued a city summons for Destruction of Non City Property.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a vehicle stop at the Casey's store, 716 West 16th Street Friday night. The driver of the vehicle was identified and run through Dispatch. Joseph J. Thibeault, 28, of Knob Noster, was confirmed to have a suspended driving status. Thibeault was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was issued a municipal citation for Driving While Suspended with a court date.


 

Saturday night, Officers responded to the 700 block of West 16th Street, for a report of theft. Prior to arrival, Officers were informed a male was rummaging inside vehicles. When Officers arrived, the male was located inside the Casey's store, 716 West 16th Street. Richard T. Beaulieu-Plona, 37, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest for Tampering With a Motor Vehicle and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Officers responded to the 400 block of North Grand Avenue for a report of a disturbance early Sunday morning. When Officers arrived on the scene, they located a female suspect at her house. Mary E. Hale, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested for Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree and for a Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility.


 

Friday night, Officers responded to the Blue Moon Smoke Shop, 1401 South Limit Avenue, for an alarm call. Upon arrival, it was discovered someone had forced entry through a door of the business, and items inside the business were stolen. Damage was caused to the door and a display case as a result of the burglary. The suspect fled prior to arriving, but has been identified.


 

An Officer was dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department Sunday afternoon in reference to property damage report. Thomas Averbeck said is vehicle was damaged in the early morning hours on May 31st while parked near West Main Street and South Moniteau Avenue.


 

Sunday afternoon, an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a theft report. Johnathan Buri reported that Saturday night, his wallet went missing. Buri has been unable to recover the wallet. The estimated value of items missing was $415.00.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the area of South Center Avenue and East 10th Street Sunday morning for a report of property damage. Contact was made with a female subject, who reported that another female subject had purposely hit her vehicle and fled the scene. Morgan R. Hawkins, 22, of Sedalia, was later located, arrested for Property Damage in the 1st Degree, and taken to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Friday morning, a female subject came to the Sedalia Police Department to report that she had been assaulted in the 400 block of Wilkerson Street. A report was taken and charges were submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor.


 

Sunday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of South Kentucky for a report of property damage. Upon arrival, Officers met with Claudia Apolinar, who stated that sometime between midnight and 11:00 that morning, someone knocked her driver's side mirror off of her vehicle.


 

Sedalia Police met with Kaden Maxwell Sunday afternoon in the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a hit and run accident. The victim stated that earlier that day he was eastbound on Broadway near Osage Avenue when another vehicle collided with his passenger side. Maxwell stated that after the impact, the striking vehicle left the scene southbound on Osage Avenue. At the time of the report, the suspect has not been identified.


 

Sunday morning, Officers responded to the Car Wash, 600 South Limit Avenue, in regards to property damage no longer in progress. Stanley E. Deuschle stated that their property had been damaged over night.


 

Officers were dispatched to the Police Station lobby for a theft report Friday morning. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with Nelson E. Madden, who stated that on November 22nd of 2019, he paid a subject $2,555 to do some work on his chimney flue in the 800 block of La Grand Drive. Madden stated that the contractor was going to start work in January of 2020, but has yet to start. Madden stated the contractor refuses to give him his deposit back.


 

Sunday morning, Officers spoke with Jessica McPhail on the phone. McPhail stated that someone shot two of her indoor/outdoor cats with an airgun, causing injury to both, in the 2500 block of West 5th Street. The two incidents happened over the course of the last month. At the time of the report, the suspect has not been identified.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 400 block of South Beacon Avenue in reference to abandoned property Sunday morning. Upon arrival, Officers recovered a black Eastport backpack that had personal belongings inside of it, but no information as to who it belonged to. The bag was gathered and placed into evidence.


 

Friday night, Officers were dispatched to the intersection of South Engineer Avenue and East Broadway Boulevard for a damaged traffic light. Officers arrived and found one of the traffic signals on the ground, apparently struck by a vehicle. MoDOT was contacted to fix the light. No arrests have been made.


 

Early Saturday morning, Officers were dispatched to an accident near East Broadway and South Wagner Avenue. The driver of the vehicle had left the roadway and struck a light pole. While speaking with the driver, the Officer detected the odor of intoxicants coming from his breath. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated, and had an outstanding Failure to Appear Warrant from Henry County. Kenneth R. Noel, 35, of Holts Summit, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Noel was issued citations for Driving While Intoxicated, Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility. Noel was then transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked on his warrant with a bond of $100.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, Friday night in reference to theft. The suspect was identified, arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Deanna K. Gilmore, 30, Homeless, was issued a municipal citation for Shoplifting with a court date.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers responded to a burglary and theft not in progress at the ABC Storage Units, 1403 West Main Street. Frances M. Gaddy stated their storage unit had been broken into. The items stolen valued at $3,550.00.


 

On the afternoon of June 4th, Ashley N. Luttrell came into the Sedalia Police Department lobby to make a theft report that occurred in the 200 block of South Grand Avenue. Luttrell stated her purse was stolen out of her vehicle, and named several items that were included in the purse.


 

Saturday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of West 4th Street and South Grand Avenue. The driver was found to have a warrant out of Benton County for Failure to Appear on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle on a Highway Without A License. Kimberly Jean Seeley, 56, of Sedalia, was arrested at the scene and transported to the Benton County Line, whereupon they were transferred to the custody of the Benton County Sheriff's Office. Seeley's bond is $300 cash only and her court date is to be determined.


 

Friday afternoon, Sedalia Police responded to the 500 block of North Moniteau in regards to an attempted assault no longer in progress. Upon investigation, no charges are being submitted at this time.


 

Friday morning, Officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West 16th Street and South Ohio Avenue. The driver's information was provided to Dispatch. The driver's operator's license was suspended and they had four Failure to Appear warrants from Pettis County on original charges of Speeding, Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway With a Suspended License, and two counts of Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility. When the warrants were confirmed active, Maria G. Hernandez, 26, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Bond on the warrants totaled to $660 cash only.


 

In the early morning hours of June 2nd, Officers conducted a vehicle stop at West Broadway and Industrial Road. All subjects in the vehicle were identified and run through Dispatch. The driver was confirmed to have a suspended driving status. Reginald Cole, 33, of Kansas City, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Cole was issued a municipal citation with a court date.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Ingram Avenue in reference to a hit and run accident Friday morning. Upon arrival, Officers met with Courtland Davis, who stated they were rear ended at the intersection and the striking vehicle left without providing information. Davis' vehicle had minor damage to the rear rend. At the time of the report, the suspect has not been identified.


 

Officers responded to the 700 block of South Beacon Avenue Friday morning in reference to a hit and run accident. Upon arrival, Officers met with Pennie Lane who stated her vehicle was struck during the overnight hours while parked in front of her residence. Officers observed damage to the rear driver's side. At the time of the report, the suspect vehicle has not been identified.
