Early Friday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Chances R Bar, 303 South Lamine Avenue, for a report of theft that had just occurred. It was determined that a $93 bar tab was not paid for prior to the subject's leaving. Suspect information was gathered, and the business is willing to pursue charges.


Officer stopped a blue ford Focus in the area of East 17th Street and South Marvin Avenue early Friday morning. The vehicle had expired plates, and those plates returned to a Chevrolet, not the Ford. A DOR check revealed the driver's license was suspended. Adrian Daniel Muntean, 18, of Sedalia, was arrested for Expired Vehicle Registration and Driving While Suspended. Muntean was booked and released at the Police Department.

Thursday evening, a vehicle was stopped because the driver was suspected to be revoked, and the vehicle was failing to maintain the right of way. The driver was confirmed to be a revoked driver. Jesus Guzman Nunez, 32, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked. Nunez was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he was processed and released.


Sedalia Police conducted an investigatory stop on a car in the area of West 7th Street and South Moniteau Avenue Thursday night. The driver was suspected to have a warrant for their arrest. The warrant was confirmed. Mekeba LeAjah Nash, 25, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Miscellaneous Peace Disturbance. Nash was transported to the Pettis County Jail on the warrant, which carried a cash only bond of $100.


Sunday evening, Officers responded to the Menards store, 4400 Wisconsin Avenue, for a theft report. On arrival, the suspect had left the store, but was quickly located. Gary G. Brown, 53, of Sedalia, was arrested for Stealing and Property Damage in the 2nd Degree. Brown was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.


On the afternoon of March 3rd, Officers responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, for a report of Trespassing. The suspect left prior to Officer's arrival. The person is known, and state charges are being requested.


On the afternoon of February 27th, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle because it was being driven by a person with suspended license. The stop was conducted in the area of West Main Street and West Broadway Boulevard. Contact was made with the driver, Alexander Francis Knipp, 34, of Sedalia. Knipp was arrested for Driving While Suspended. The passenger, Kallie Nicole Bennett, 34, of Sedalia, was found to have a Failure to Appear warrant for her arrest from Johnson County (Knob Noster) for an original charge of Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle. Bond on Bennett's warrant was set at $150 cash only. Both Knipp and Bennett were transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked.


Detectives with the Crime Resolution Unit stopped an improperly registered vehicle in the 200 block of West 3rd street on the afternoon of February 28th. Upon stopping, the driver and passenger quickly tried to swap seats, but the driver was detained. His license was found to be suspended. David Mabrey, 35, of Marshall, was arrested for Driving While Suspended.


Wednesday afternoon, Officers responded to the 200 block of East Tower Road for a report of a wanted person in the area. Officers identified the subject and placed him into handcuffs. A check through Dispatch confirmed an active Pettis County warrant for Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree (1st or 2nd Offense) with a cash or surety bond of $1500. Brandon Lee Kelch, 32, Homeless, was arrested on his warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked.
