Sedalia Police Reports For March 15, 2022

Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to Jim's Express Tire and Automotive Services, 200 Winchester Drive, for a report of a theft. When Officers arrived, they made contact with Amanda D. Karbinas. Karbinas reported that sometime between Saturday afternoon and Sunday evening, someone stole six rubber tracks from the shop. The tracks had a combined value of $4,855.39. Shortly after the report was made, the sixth track that was reported stolen was recovered in a nearby parking lot. The recovered track was valued at $1500. There are no suspects at this time. Photos of the scene were taken and attached to the case.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the lobby of the Police Station to speak with a subject who wanted to report an identity theft Monday morning. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Arlietha B. Jackson. Jackson stated that she was contacted by two different pay day loan companies about the loan she had applied for. Jackson stated that she did not apply for any loans. She further reported that she contacted a company that she hired to monitor her accounts from previous incidents. Jackson reported that she was asked if she wanted to pursue charges by both companies. Jackson told them both yes, and was instructed to come to the Police Department to make a report. There are no suspects at this time.

Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of East 10th Street Monday morning for a report of theft that had occurred at the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Jessica M. Elgin. Elgin stated that sometime that morning, someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole $500 along with debit cards and a driver's license. There are no suspects at this time. Officers contacted a Wal Mart Asset Protection associate to try and review surveillance video.
