Late Monday night, Officers responded to the 1000 block of West 4th Street for a report of gunshots. When Officers arrived, they located a vehicle with a flat tire that had been shot. Bullet casings were located on the ground near the vehicle. A report was completed, and a person of interest is known at the time of the report.


 

Tuesday afternoon, Officers responded to the 2700 block of South Massachusetts Avenue in reference to a theft report. Officers spoke with Betty Oliver, who stated her window air conditioning unit had been stolen from the front of her house. No suspects have been identified at this time.

Sedalia Police began investigating an incident that was previously reported to Police involving a burglary and stealing from the Missouri State Fairgrounds. The property was recovered in an unrelated case. The investigation is ongoing.


 

Officers responded to the 400 block of Wilkerson Street Tuesday afternoon for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arriving, contact was made with the occupants, and their information was checked with Dispatch. The suspect was found to have two Pettis County warrants for their arrest. One was a Probation Violation warrant on original charges of felony Property Damage in the 1st Degree, and the other was a Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Trespassing in the 1st Degree. Amber Lorraine Grandstaff, 38, Homeless, was arrested and then transported to the BRHC for a fit for confinement check. Grandstaff was then taken to the Pettis County Jail. Total bond on the two warrants was set at $2,250 cash and $2500 surety.
