Sedalia Police Reports For March 24, 2023

Late Thursday night, a truck was stopped at the McDonald's restaurant, 1611 South Limit Avenue, because it had expired registration. The driver was determined to be intoxicated. Elliot Sheldon Kroeker, 27, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Expired Registration. Kroeker was taken to the Sedalia Police Department for processing, and then released to a sober driver.
Sedalia Police were dispatched to the area of the Housing Authority, 400 Robinson Court Thursday evening. Reports from the public stated a man was hitting a gas meter and a central air unit with an axe, and then continued walking down Saline Street with the axe. The suspect was located, and the damage was discovered at the Housing Authority. Mark Timothy Prall Sr., 61, Homeless, was arrested for Property Damage in the 1st Degree and Tampering with a Utility in the 2nd Degree (Second Offense). Prall was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold.
Officers were dispatched to the Bothwell Regional Health Center Emergency Room, 601 East 14th Street, Wednesday night in reference to an assault that had occurred a couple of hours prior. The victim wished to pursue charges. State charges of Assault in the 3rd Degree are being requested.
Thursday afternoon, Officers responded to the Phillips 66 gas station, 1320 South Limit, in reference to a stolen motorized bicycle. A few hours later, at the Panera Bread restaurant, 3175 West Broadway Boulevard, Police responded to another theft. A male subject stole a tip jar from the business and ran. Officers caught the suspect in the area. They also recovered the bicycle and returned it to the owner. Allen E. Bechtel, 31, Homeless, was arrested for Stealing a Motor Vehicle and Stealing (Other Theft). Bechtel was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold, pending charges.
Wednesday morning, Officers responded to the 1600 block of West 20th Street in reference to a report of harassment. Officers spoke to the reporting party, who stated she has been getting harassed online through fake Facebook profiles. No suspects have been identified at this time.
Sedalia Police responded to the 2300 block of North Woodlawn Drive in reference to a stolen license plate Wednesday afternoon. The license plate has not been recovered at this time, but it has been entered into MULES and NCIC as stolen. No suspects have been identified at this time.
Thursday morning, Officers responded to the Yummy's Donuts, 209 East Broadway Boulevard, for a warrant check. On arrival, Officers met with the subject and Dispatch confirmed she had an active warrant from the City of Sedalia. Sarita L. Leon, 61, of Sedalia, was arrested for a municipal Probation Violation warrant on original charges of Stealing. Leon was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $200 cash only bond.
Officers performed a subject check near the area of West Main Street and South Park Avenue Wednesday afternoon. While in the area, Officers observed a subject driving. The subject parked his vehicle and attempted to leave the area on foot. A computer check revealed the subject's Missouri driving license to be revoked. Tyler J. Hill, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked. Hill was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24 hour hold.
