This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department reports.

Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Katy Park, 2200 South Grand Avenue, in reference to a subject with a gun at the park. Contact was made with the subject, who was in possession of a bb gun and did expose the bb gun to the public. The incident was documented, and the bb gun was seized for destruction.


 

Officers spoke with Margaret Lebs on the telephone in reference to a theft Monday afternoon. Lebs stated that she fell prey to a scam in which someone posed as a Publishers Clearing House team member. Lebs sent money to cover false registration fees, but later realized it was a scam. At the time of the report, the suspect has not been identified.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Superior Tax Service, 2002 West 14th Street, in reference to property damage Monday morning. Upon arrival, Officers met with Amos Preece, who stated a front window of the business was shot four times with an apparent bb gun. At the time of the report, the suspect has not been identified.


 

Monday morning, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of East 5th Street for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a male subject, who stated he had just got married to the female subject on March 3rd. He then stated that he and the female had done nothing but fight. The male had a bite mark on his arm that he stated was from the female. The female had marks around her neck, that she stated came from the male choking her. Neither subject wanted to pursue charges, and a primary aggressor couldn't be determined. There was a 12 hour log made of the incident.
