Sedalia Police Reports For May 19, 2023

Thursday morning, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle because it had no front license plate. The stop was conducted in the area of South Grand Avenue and West 2nd Street. A check through Dispatch showed the driver had a criminal summons for Driving While Intoxicated and a Pettis County Failure to Appear warrant on original felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Christopher Howard Walker, 28, of Windsor, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Walker was booked in and given a cash or surety bond of $15,000.

Sunday afternoon, an Officer observed a subject on a bicycle in the area of North State Fair Boulevard and West Main Street. The subject on the bicycle had an active Pettis County warrant for their arrest. Travis L. Edgar, 45, of Sedalia, was arrested for his FTA warrant on original charges of Stealing. Edgar was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in pending a $250 cash only bond.

Sedalia Police met with Tammy Marie Sanders Soriano Wednesday night in reference to a found wallet. The wallet was found in the area of West 2nd Street and South Grand Avenue.

Officers responded to the Hardee’s restaurant Thursday evening in reference to a report of a domestic disturbance. The reporting party stated the disturbance took place in the 1200 block of East 12th Street. After speaking to the reporting party and the other subject involved, Officers concluded that a physical altercation had taken place. However, a primary physical aggressor could not be determined. A 12-hour log was collected.

Thursday morning, Officers responded to the area of the 600 block of West 16th Street for a disturbance. The suspects were stopped in a vehicle. Both were in possession of drugs, and both were taken to the Pettis County Jail. The driver was also impaired by drugs and brought a controlled substance into the jail. Stacy Lynn Hoehne, 49, of Robertsville, was booked in on charges of Possession of Cocaine, Concealing a Controlled Substance in a County Facility, Driving While Intoxicated, two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Dangerous Drug. There was no information in the report about any other arrests at this time.

Thursday night, Delanye Meyer came to the Police Station to report a theft. Meyer reported the theft occurred at her place of work in the 3300 block of West 10th Street. Meyer reported a set of AirPods had been stolen while she was at work on May 11th. The total value of the items stolen was reported at $700.00.

Sedalia Police’s K9 Unit assisted the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force with a vehicle stop in La Monte on the afternoon of May 17th. During the vehicle stop, K9 Rocky was deployed for a free air sniff around the vehicle, in which K9 Rocky altered to the odor of drugs. A probable cause search of the vehicle by the MMDTF resulted in the discovery of contraband related to illegal drug activity.
