Sedalia Police Reports For May 26, 2022

Thursday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of West 7th Street and South Quincy Avenue for a speeding violation. The driver was identified, and found to have a municipal warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Driving While Suspended. Morgan T. Foote, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested on the warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a $100 cash only bond.
Sedalia Police initiated a traffic stop in the area of East 7th Street and South Summit Avenue Wednesday night for a defective brake light. Through the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the driver had a revoked driving license. Kyle W. Wissman, 34, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail. Wissman was then booked and released pending state charges of Driving While Revoked and No Proof of Insurance.
Wednesday afternoon, Officers spoke with Andre Subek on the phone. Subek wished to report that money had been taken from their bank account. The suspect is unknown at this time.
Officers were contacted by Cody Phillips Wednesday afternoon about tickets he got based on license plates he had left on a car he had sold. Phillips stated that he had sold a car, but forgot to remove the license plates. Phillips got two tickets for license plate violations when they were on another vehicle. The vehicle belongs to the party to whom he sold the car, but not the car that he sold to another party. He wishes to show these plates as lost.
Wednesday morning, Officers stopped a vehicle near the intersection of West Main Street and South Harrison Avenue after noticing the registration had expired. A computer check revealed the driver had a warrant for his arrest. It was issued by Pettis County after he failed to appear on an original charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance. Clarence W. Shoemaker Jr., 64, of Hughesville, was transported to the Pettis County Jail and bond was set at $147 cash only.
