Monday night, Officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of West 11th Street and South Grand Avenue for a stop sign violation. An occupant of the vehicle was found to have a warrant out of the State of Kansas for Fraud. Tyrone E. Smith, 42, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Smith was booked on the warrant and placed on a 24 hour hold pending state Fugitive From Justice charges.


 

Last Friday night, Officers responded to the 500 block of West 7th Street in reference to an assault that had just occurred. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Kayla Martin. Martin stated three females known to her came to the residence and assaulted her. Suspect names have been given. The case will be sent to the prosecutor for review.


 

On the night of April 6th, Officers with the K9 Unit were requested to assist the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Interstate 70. K9 Ace was deployed for the MSHP. The vehicle was searched, and a large amount of methamphetamine and marijuana were located. The unnamed suspect was arrested by the Patrol.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 700 block of East 5th Street in reference to a 911 call hang up Monday night. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with a male subject outside. The subject's information was run through Dispatch and he was confirmed to have an active warrant out of Sedalia for Failure to Appear on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility. Haven Kyler Thomas Bennett, 21, of Sedalia, was arrested on the warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a cash only bond of $60.


 

On the afternoon of April 20th, Sedalia Police Department K9 Ace was requested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol for a vehicle sniff. K9 Ace was deployed in the area of Chevalier Road and 50 Highway in La Monte. Ace was deployed and gave a positive alert. There was no further information in the report.


 

Monday evening, the Sedalia Police Department took a theft report over the phone from Jeannie M. Vogel. Vogel reported that a suspect stole a carton of her cigarettes, which were valued at $60.


 

Monday afternoon, Officers responded to the Probation and Parole Office, 205 Thompson Road, for a report of a male subject with a confirmed and active Pettis County Warrant. Dillon J. Palmer, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested for his warrant on charges of Violation of an Order of Protection. Palmer was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $1500 bond.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the lobby of the Police Station for a report of a subject who wanted to turn themselves in on a warrant for their arrest Monday afternoon. Deanna K. Gilmore, 31, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Stealing. Gilmore was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $138.50 cash only bond.


 

Officers conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of West Main Street and Thompson Road Monday morning. An occupant of the vehicle was seen driving the vehicle prior to the stop. Louis G. Davis, 39, Homeless, was arrested for Driving While Suspended. State charges are being requested through the prosecutor.


 

Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of East 4th Street for a reported domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed that a physical fight had occurred, but there were no visible injuries to anyone. The parties separated, and the report was completed as a log of events.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of West Main Street and North Grand Avenue Monday morning. The driver was arrested for a Pettis County Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility. Sandra B. White, 41, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a cash only bond of $147.00. Citations were also issued for Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle and No Proof of Insurance.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Brianna Boulevard Monday morning for a report of property damage. Jack Vanderlinden reported his vehicle was hit with a paintball sometime earlier in the morning.
