Sedalia Police took a report from Paul Jones with the Burns Chapel, 209 East Pettis Street on the morning of April 26th. Jones reported a property destruction incident. Someone had emptied sandbags that held down a large wooden cross, and then pushed that cross to the ground. There was no other damage observed.


 

Tuesday night, Officers responded to the 300 block of West 7th Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the victim. The victim stated they were in a physical altercation with the intoxicated suspect, sustaining injuries. Shon L. Stutes, 52, Homeless, was arrested on a charge of Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree. Stutes was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold.


 

Officers made contact with a driver in the 500 block of East 13th Street early Friday morning. The driver’s information was checked, and it was found their license was suspended. Empelina Deitas Alexander, 44, of Sedalia was arrested on a charge of Driving While Suspended. Alexander was transported to the Pettis County Jail, to be booked and released.

Early Friday morning, a theft was reported by Albert Wilson Neyhart Jr. Officers took the report, noting it occurred in front of the Break Time store, 318 West Broadway Boulevard. A cell phone valued at $200 and a charger valued at $12 were stolen from in front of the business. A report has documented the incident.


 

Thursday evening, Sedalia Police responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, for a report of a subject stealing. When Officers arrived on scene, the female was with Wal Mart staff. The female had been caught stealing after she was observed concealing several items into a bag. She then proceeded out towards the doors, passing all points of sale. Jennifer Danelle Hollobaugh, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Shoplifting. Hollobaugh was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 700 block of Ivy Lane in order to investigate a violation of an order of protection Thursday night. Officers contacted the victim, who said she has an ex-parte against her husband. It was served shortly before the messages were received. She showed Officers the messages, time stamped after the order was served. This is a violation of the order, which states no communication. Officers are requesting a state charge of Violation of a Court Order.


 

Officers were dispatched to a call of possible harassment that occurred in the 900 block of East 3rd Street Thursday afternoon. Officers spoke with the reporting party, gathered information, and turned in a general information report.


 

Thursday afternoon, Officers responded to the 300 block of West 3rd Street for a report of a subject threatening to shoot themselves. Upon arrival, Officers located the male and were able to get him transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for mental health assistance. No charges are being requested.
