Wednesday evening, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Winchester Drive on a vehicle because it failed to stop at a red light. Officers identified the driver and checked his information with Dispatch. He was found to have no driver’s license. Francisco Martinez Moreno, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Operator’s License Required. Moreno was later released with a summons.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft Wednesday night. The suspect had already left the scene. Officers responded and took a report of the incident. The total value of the items stolen was estimated at approximately $17.76. The suspect has not been identified at this time.

Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of East 11th Street for a report regarding a theft. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with Isaac James Toliver, who gave information. Officers conducted an investigation and created a report.


 

Wednesday afternoon, Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Southwest Boulevard and Skyline Drive on a vehicle with expired registration. Officers discovered the driver was suspended and placed him under arrest. Michael Dale Kearney Jr., 31, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked, Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, and Failure to Register with the Department of Revenue. Kearney was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of North Quincy Avenue Wednesday morning in reference to a domestic assault report. The victim stated the subject had punched, kicked, and strangled her during an argument. The suspect fled the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival. State charges of Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree are being submitted the prosecutor.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to investigate a theft report in the 900 block of Westwood Avenue. Officers contacted the victim via phone call, and gathered further information. The investigation is ongoing.
