Early Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to a single vehicle accident in the area of West 16th Street and South Stewart Avenue. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center for a blood draw. Dakota Gibson, 20, of Sedalia, was then transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released. A request for the charge of Driving While Intoxicated by Drugs has been submitted to the prosecutor.

On the morning of November 13th, Sedalia Police observed an SUV drifting back and forth while travelling eastbound on West 16th Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on West 16th Street near South Quincy Avenue. During the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Elizabeth Aimee Davis, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department. There, she provided a breath sample on the DataMaster Transportable that showed her Blood Alcohol Content was above 0.08. Davis was then transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked on charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender), and then released.


 

Sedalia Police observed a vehicle speeding and drifting from lane to lane on West Main Street Sunday morning. The vehicle then attempted to turn onto the on ramp to South Limit Avenue, and ran off the right side of the roadway. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area of South Limit Avenue and West Main Street. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Rigoberto Huerta, 38, of La Monte, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Huerta was then transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample on the DMT that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Huerta was then transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

Officers spoke with Stanley Potts in the Police Department lobby Tuesday afternoon in regards to a theft. Potts wished to report that two license plates belonging to him were stolen from the 1400 block of South Beacon Avenue between November 9th and today. There are no suspects at this time.


 

Monday afternoon, Officers stopped a vehicle near the intersection of East Jefferson Street and North Lamine Avenue after observing the vehicle speeding. A computer check of the driver's information revealed that his Missouri driving privileges were revoked. A search of his vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia, which was seized for destruction. DJ Erwin, 33, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked, then booked and released.
