Early Wednesday morning, Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 700 block of East 9th Street. When Officers arrived, they spoke with both parties. A primary physical aggressor was unable to be determined. A 12 hour log was completed.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a report of found property Tuesday morning. Michael Partin reported he found a cell phone and a set of keys behind his apartment building in the 200 block of South Lamine Avenue. The items were placed into found property, as the owner has not been located at this time.


 

Tuesday evening, Officers responded to the Casey's store, 716 West 16th Street, in reference to a stolen vehicle. The Officer made contact with Adonis Mason, who stated their car was stolen while they were inside the store. No suspects have been identified at this time.


 

Tuesday night, Officers conducted an investigative stop on a vehicle in the area of West Broadway Boulevard and South Kentucky Avenue. An individual was located in the vehicle that had a no bond parole violation warrant, and a criminal summons for their arrest. Blake Austin Hollon, 24, of Warrensburg, was arrested for his summons on charges of Driving While Revoked and his Parole Violation on original charges of felony Resisting Arrest by Fleeing (Causing Substantial Risk of Injury or Death) and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Hollon was transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Monday night, Officers were dispatched to an accident that occurred at the Cenex store, 120 East 16th Street. The suspect left the scene after causing property damage to the building. The suspect was identified, but has not been located at this time.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Woods' Supermarket, 701 East Broadway Boulevard, for a report of assault Tuesday afternoon. Officers met with the victim, who stated that on October 29th he was at a friend's residence when a subject assaulted him by slapping him twice. At the time of the report, the suspect has not been contacted.


 

Tuesday morning, Officers responded to the 800 block of East 16th Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers met with the victim, who explained someone known to him had come inside the residence and assaulted him with a hammer. The suspect fled the scene prior to Officer's arrival.


 

Sedalia Police received a call Monday evening in reference to destruction of property. Upon arrival to the 300 block of East 7th Street, Officers met with the suspect. The suspect stated that he and a female got into a verbal argument, and he gingerly pushed on the door to try to talk to her when she shut it. In talking to the female and looking at the door, Officers saw the damage. The bottom hinge had lost its screws, the strike plate was damaged, and the door jamb was split. Tristen MU Smith, 22, of Sedalia, was issued a summons for Destruction of Non City Property.


 

Officers spoke with Stephen Hiatt over the phone Tuesday afternoon. Hiatt wished to report that checks had been stolen from him in the 1600 block of East 9th Street. There are no suspects at this time.


 

Monday evening, while conducting a Special Task, contact was made with a subject in the 1300 block of South Ohio Avenue. An identification check was conducted, and it was found that the subject had a Pettis County warrant for their arrest. Curtis Lynn Jackson, 53, of Sedalia, was arrested for his warrant on charges felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Jackson also had Benton County warrants on charges of felony Harassment in the 1st Degree, felony Domestic Assault in the 1st Degree, Possession of Marijuana, and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Jackson was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $7500 cash or surety bond.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the area of West 12th Street and South Park Avenue in reference to a drug offense Tuesday morning. A mail carrier found a baggie of drugs while on their route. The drugs were taken to the Police Department, where they were entered into evidence for their destruction.


 

Tuesday morning, an Officers was dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a found property report. Glenn Waggoner stated a wallet had turned in at the WK Chevrolet dealership 2901 S Limit Avenue. The employees tried for about a month to contact the owner before turning it over to the Police.


 

Monday afternoon, Officers spoke with the Security Officer of Central Bank, 1307 South Limit Avenue over the phone in reference to a theft. The SO stated a female suspect stole a parking sign out of their lot. Security video showed a female suspect remove the sign from the lot, along with the post, and leave the area, walking with it. An Officer was on patrol in the area of 23rd Street and Missouri Avenue about an hour and a half later when he saw the sign, carried by the thief seen in the video. The female admitted to the theft, but offered no real reason as to why. The sign was recovered to the bank. Lydia Tenisee Antwiler, 27, Homeless, was issued a municipal summons for Stealing.
