Sunday night, Officers responded to the 1500 block of South Barrett Avenue in reference to a juvenile runaway. The reporting party said the juvenile ran away Friday the 19th after school. The juvenile was entered into MULES as missing. During the course of the investigation, the juvenile was located. A juvenile referral report was also made for the subject.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft incident Sunday night. The suspect was found to not have committed a theft. The business requested the suspect to be trespassed. After identifying the subject, they were found to have two active warrants out of Johnson County. Steven Alvin Larch, 42, of Sedalia, was arrested on his two Failure to Appear warrants on original charges of Speeding and No Insurance. Larch was transported to the Pettis County Jail and also issued a trespass warning. Bond was set at $1,000 cash or surety.


 

Early Sunday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Police Department lobby to take a report about an incident which happened in the 600 block of North Prospect Avenue. A juvenile reported that a 35 year old man had solicited inappropriate physical contact from her over Facebook Messenger. Scott Dean Woolery, 35, of Sedalia, was contacted, interviewed, and then arrested. Woolery was taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24 hour hold pending state charges of Enticement of a Child.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 300 block of East Saline Street in reference to a domestic disturbance Sunday evening. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with three adult males who lived at the residence together. They had been involved in a physical altercation with minor injuries. A primary aggressor could not be determined and a 12 hour log was entered.


 

Sunday afternoon, Officers responded to the 400 block of Albright Court for a disturbance. After speaking with both parties, a primary physical aggressor could not be identified. A 12 hour log was completed.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of East 27th Street for a report of found property Sunday morning. Upon arrival, Officers met with Dennis L. Dawson Sr, who stated that someone left a backpack cooler at the end of his driveway. There was nothing inside the bag that would help identify the owner, so the bag was collected and placed into found property.


 

Sunday afternoon, Officers responded to the 800 block of West 20th Street for a report of an assault. Contact was made with an 89 year old male subject, who reported that he was assaulted by a 20 year old male suspect. The suspect was not located, so charges were submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of East 7th Street for a report of property damage Sunday morning. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with Derek Darwin Bartlett, who stated that someone had flattened two of their vehicle tires and cut the cable wire outside of their house earlier that morning. This was one of several incidents in the area that involved flattening of tires and cut wires.


 

Sunday afternoon, an Officer initiated a traffic stop on a car for a case of expired registration near West 4th Street and South Missouri Avenue. Upon contact with the driver, the Officer smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the car. A check through Dispatch showed the driver had an active Johnson County warrant for Failure to Appear with a $650 cash or surety bond. Darius D. Douglas, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested and upon arrest showed the Officer that he had hidden a baggie of marijuana on his person. Douglas was transported to the Pettis County Jail and booked on his warrant. Douglas was issued a city ticket for Possession of Marijuana with a court date.


 

An Officer was performing an area check near the 1200 block of South Limit Sunday morning. The Officer performed a computer check on an SUV parked in the parking lot and the registered owner had an active Pettis County warrant. The Officer made contact with the owner of the SUV and a check through Dispatch confirmed the suspect had an active Pettis County warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Revoked. Herminio L. Cacari, 34, of Tipton, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail to be booked. Bond was set at $2,500 cash or surety.


 

Sunday afternoon, Officers spoke with Paige Dixon on the phone in reference to a theft. Dixon stated that while she was in the process of moving out of a residence in the Housing Authority, several of her personal items were removed from it and thrown away. The case remains under investigation.


 

Sunday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of South Ohio Avenue for a trespassing report. Dispatch advised that a subject was at the residence and wouldn't leave. They also advised that the subject had struck his girlfriend. Contact was made with all parties involved and it was determined that the male subject was the primary physical aggressor. Jorge L. Marcos, 23, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24 hour hold pending the filing of state charges for Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree.


 

Saturday afternoon, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of East 9th Street for a report of a possible deceased subject. Upon arrival, it was determined that the subject had passed away sometime over the past day. There is no foul play suspected at this time.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of West 16th Street Saturday afternoon in reference to a theft report. Misty Logan stated she believes someone she knows stole a coin purse from them.


 

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle owner known to have a warrant in the area of South Harrison Avenue and West 20th Street Sunday morning. The driver was confirmed to be the vehicle owner and was arrested on her warrant. Cheri Dawn Admire, 50 of Sedalia, was arrested for Fraud/Financial Exploitation of the Elderly and had a bond set at $10,000 cash only. Admire was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked on the warrant.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 1100 block of East 5th Street Saturday afternoon for a trespassing report. Bertha Rodriguez spoke with Officers and said people have been trespassing at her residence and had broken some of her property. She wished to pursue charges.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers responded to the 1600 block of South Engineer Avenue for a domestic assault report. An Officer made contact with the victim, who said the suspect had fled the scene in a car. Officers in the area found the suspect vehicle after it was been in a traffic crash near West 16th Street and South Ingram Avenue. Joseph E. Weller, 21, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24 hour hold pending the filing of charges of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree.


 

Saturday morning, an Officer was dispatched to the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a found property report. Donald D. Harrison brought in a cell phone they found in their yard in the 1700 block of South Osage Avenue.


 

Officers performed a follow up investigation near the 2400 block of West 3rd Street Saturday morning. The Officer made contact with a subject at the residence. A check through Dispatch showed the subject had two active Pettis County warrants for Failure to Appear on original charges of Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle. Pamela J. Brill, 65, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with total bond set at $126 cash bond and a $150 cash or surety bond.


 

Saturday morning, Officers were patrolling in the area of West Saline Street and Welch Court and saw a subject they believed to have an active warrant. The Officer made contact with the subject and a check through Dispatch confirmed the subject had an active Pettis County Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Driving Without a License. Dierre Marshaun Robinson Sr., 37, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a bond set at $60 cash only.


 

Friday afternoon, an Officer responded to the Family Center Farm and Home, 1400 South Limit Avenue for a theft report. The manager of the business said that on November 12th, a male subject entered the store and stole a chainsaw. The business wished to pursue charges.


 

An Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1400 block of South Limit Avenue Friday afternoon. The license plates were expired and registered to another vehicle and owner. The plates were seized for destruction.


 

On the afternoon of November 16th, an Officer responded to the lobby of the Police Department for a fraud report. Ronald Breshears stated a delivery person had forged his signature when handing off a package and the package was empty. The victim wished to pursue charges.


 

Friday afternoon, an Officer initiated an investigative traffic stop on a car near West 10th Street and South Vermont Avenue because the registered owner was listed as a suspended driver. A check through Dispatch showed the driver was the owner and their status was suspended. James DeAndre Mosley, 29, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Police Department. Mosley was released with a city ticket for Driving While Suspended.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Best Western, 3120 South Limit Avenue, in reference to a stolen property report Friday afternoon. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with Ramon Lopez, who stated that earlier in the month, he stayed at the hotel. Lopez said during his stay his wallet, containing several personal items, went missing. It's not known if the wallet is lost or stolen at this time.


 

Friday morning, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a car near West Broadway Boulevard and South Vermont Avenue because the registered owner's license status was revoked. A check through Dispatch confirmed the driver was the owner and her license was revoked. Shannon Rene Spruell, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked. A charge of felony Driving While Revoked was later submitted to the Pettis County Prosecutor.
